If you've got Foxtel, have a gander at Johnny Farnham's tribute.
Awesome voice and a moving account of his struggle.
No better example of his vocal range than "You're The Voice"

This played on my IPOD this morning, still my favourite song of Johnny's.

Did you watch the special about him last week. There were so many things that I didn't know about him. What a warrior and very faithful to his mate.
When he had that hit with The Voice, people all around the world knew he had an incredible voice and not just the young kid who sang Sadie the Cleaning Lady.

Far out, I've forgotten this song. Noone can sing this song with a vocal range as good as him. At least not befitting this song anyway.
Unfortunately for him, having a great unique voice wasn't the be all and end all of success.
People can make millions by belting out robotic and monotone speak to one beat for 5 mins geeeeezzzz.

I watched a special fairly recently about him. Totally disgusting that no one would have listened to the new song had they known it was John Farnham. So glad all the critics had to eat their words.

This was the upbringing that had Lemmy declare the Beatles to be a for real tougher band than the stones
Yeh, I'm trying to find the interview of Kilmister's where he said that. It would have been at least 10 years ago.
I was playing Get Back on my valve amp and turntable the other day and Paul McCartney's bass riff is awesome.
It's so basic and if you played the bass by itself it's utterly boringly basic, but put into the song it's a genius at play.
Cacky handed too. :)
