Carl Wilson was awesome. His voice started it all happening for them. He died of cancer way too early, another victim of the ciggies.
Ahh, still remember my older sister and her friends bopping to this. Good times.
"That'l Be the Day" is a song written by Buddy Holly and is fitting to your post's opening comments.
The night before the day the music died.
The clip of I Can Hear Music sums up the 2. Carls voice just brilliant and Mike Love just being there, trying to dance, trying o look part of the band. What a douche.Carl Wilson was awesome. His voice started it all happening for them. He died of cancer way too early, another victim of the ciggies.
Even playing live his voice was pure.
His brother Brian was a great songwriter and not just for the beach boys.
Unfortunately, twithead Mike Love ruined their Hall of Fame induction and Imo this drove a coffin nail into the group's bond and tention built into hate over time.
I still play their songs and love them
I agree, an egotistical gimp. The clip of I Can Hear Music sums up the 2. Carls voice just brilliant and Mike Love just being there, trying to dance, trying o look part of the band. What a douche.
He got so bad on drugs that the boys locked him in a closet during a live gig.Don't forget Dennis. Love him in Two-Lane Blacktop.
Have to strongly disagree about Chevys. I'm a longtime Camaro man having owned 3 of them. My latest is a 1969 RS350.He got so bad on drugs that the boys locked him in a closet during a live gig.
There was something not right with him from the beginning. I think the instant stardom and being on drums instead of a front man led him to get on it, boredom, fame, left out, ego maybe.
The three boys used to be real tight and it all fell apart.
Chevy's and Harley's are overrated imo. Noisy, heavy and uncomfortable. More of a .....hey look at me scene.
It's cool brother, I know the car.Have to strongly disagree about Chevys. I'm a longtime Camaro man having owned 3 of them. My latest is a 1969 RS350.
