Favourite Australian Film

There's probably been a similar thread posted in the past but I thought I might start one up anyway.

There's been a few good ones over the last few years and some absolute shockers. There's your classics like The Castle and there's your forgettables like The Wannabes.

What's your favourite?

Anybody remember the one with the infected monkey? I cant remember whether it was an Aussie film or not but i'm pretty sure it was.

A monkey bites a lady and she turns into some kind of zombie/monster. I thought it was a great movie. There is also a scene where half the town is infected and lead character has to get out by using his lawn mower and cutting everyone to shreds...

Anybody remember this??

That was Braindead, which was an NZ film, it was filmed in Wellington and directed by none other that Peter Jackson of Lord of the Rings fame. Damn funny movie...

My favourite Australian film would be The Proposition, great movie.
