The Wall bores me to tears these days. It's a bunch of self-indulgent crap.

I'd have to vote for the White Album, Being There or Sloan - Four Nights At The Palais Royale.

Come on that's not the attitude!

I said "favourite" not "opinions of"

self indulgent?????
anyone who releases a double album is being pretty self indulgent I'd say.

anyways didn't the Beatles do a song about a Racoon who'd walked into a bar?

It's a web forum. Prepare to be judged.

I used to love The Wall and I listened to it a lot when I was younger. Maybe it's burnout but I just really don't like it anymore.

Roger Waters let his ego take over. It doesn't hold up as a "rock opera" and the film reflects the weakness of the "story". It takes itself waaaay too seriously.

I prefer The Final Cut now.

Hmm I know someone taking themselves too seriously.

Ok...well that was an attempt at humour.

ie web forums are full of judgement. That's kind of the whole point of them, isn't it?

Yeah, but that's taking the piss out of Dylan. Rocky racoon is gold imo.

I love the song and I rate them as the greatest ever.

I was just making an ironic comparison.

I'll throw Goodbye Yellow Brick Road into the mix, one of Elton's best, and Physical Graffiti gets a gong, but I also love the White Album and The Wall, both greats.

Hot August Night is one of the biggest selling albums in Australia of all time, lotsa people like a bit of crunchy granola.

White Album - Beatles
Melon Collie & the Infinite Sadness - Smashing Pumpkins
Being There - Wilco

The problem with most double albums is that they are potentially a great single album with alot of filler...
