If you ever ran into the Inter City Firm, which I had the 'pleasure' of doing on a couple of occasions, they didn't dish out lollypops and double cones with flakes in!!

The 'firms' are probably more active nowadays than ever before. Most football related violence goes unreported now and occurs well away from any stadiums, which it always has to be honest. It was only on the rare occurences that violence erupted at the actual game.
