Massive fan of the Sopranos. I'm very thankful that I went out and bought all the seasons last year when they were only about $20-$40. The new season should be out pretty soon on 9 though. Expect a midnight to 1am start.

Lost was awesome but I've missed too many episodes this year to fully get back into it so I'll have to wait til the season comes out on DVD.

Also not really a mini series, but I thought 'Blue Murder' the Aussie drama about Roger Rogerson and Neddy Smith etc kicked arse as well.

With you on all three selections there mate. Thought that Prisonbreak looked pretty good however missed too many episodes as well, so was thinking I would buy the series on DVD...

Read the book A Fortunate Life, was very good.

Also have Band Of Brothers on DVD, was awesome.

The girlfiend got me into Firefly when I first met her. Bought the series for her on DVD as we were hiring them from the video shop when she introduded it to me. Shame it went off after series one as I thought it was very good.

1915 was very good to NBB.

What was that old series called one channel 2 about british fighter pilots in world war one. Was it " Wings " or something similar. Remember watching it as a kid, and really rated it.....

Band of Brothers, geez how could I forget that? Probably one of the most outstanding mini series ever made. I'd like to see another one made about soldiers in the Pacific.

Well, there is one on the cards.... http://imdb.com/title/tt0374463/ whether it gets made is another story though, I certainly hope it does.

I'll second that mate. Lots of stories to be told there. Especially about the Aussies.

Another mini series that was pretty good it's day was " ROOTS " about several generations of black Americans and slavery.

Carnivàle, Freaks and Geeks and Band of Brothers.

The first two were cancelled way too early.

Carnivale was a great show...scared the crap outta of me a couple of times:)

One of the best mini series I have seen was penned by John Doyle (Roy Slaven)

Marking Time...

Brilliant story

Agreed, I forgot that one

EDIT - I'd also think the father in Marking Time would be one of my favourite characters in anything, personally.

Thats right NBB......

Used to like the series called "V" when I was a young bloke. About the alien invasion of earth. Hate it when a series starts and does not finish though.
