This has gotten ridiculous a long time ago.

With the Vikes running game and O-Line he could succeed though.

I'm genuinely disgusted because I honestly believe this was the plan all along (ie he never was going to stay retired).

I've always thought that Favre was overrated. He only won one Superbowl and has experienced an enormous love fest from the media.

He has spat on his Packers legacy and IMO won't be a good football decision for the Vikings. I wonder how T-Jack and Rosenfels feel?

man, does this guy have any dignity left?

i can't wait until this bozo goes back to lambeau and gets pounded by a fired up packers d.

im excited about the guy returning to be honest.

he's better than tavaris and the other qb's in Minnesota. has peterson in the team. good fit IMO.

he was effected by the cold weather last year at the end. not so much a problem in doors.

good move by the vikings IMO

plus, he's now more loathed by some than michael vick!

If he improves my team im all for it.

Hopefully no one on the team now gets too confident and expects him to do everything.

He doesn't have to do it all though, just manage the game and put the ball in the receivers hands when needed, and I think he can do that easily better than Jackons and Rosenfels.

I don't get all the hate for Favre, he wants to continue playing the game he loves and its obvious he's good enough to be at least in the middle of the bell curve of NFL QBs.

Honestly who could give a f**k about his legacy? He obviously doesn't so why should any of you? He just wants to play football and good on him I say. He has my 100% support.

Because it is all about Brett.

At New York, he demanded (and received) his own separate locker room, instead of sharing a locker room with the rest of the offense.

He was always going to return to the Vikings and played out this whole "Will he or won't he" thing to receive the largest amount of media attention.

And then there are the reasons why he wanted to join the Vikings. Because the Packers didn't want to go through the "will he or won't he" thing for the third time and give Rodgers a shot, he felt disrespected. So the best way to get back at Ted Thompson and co (according to Lord Favre) is to beat them while playing for the Vikings.

In regards to you believing he is at the middle of the bell curve of QBs, you are wrong. He is bottom 10. Easily. For the Vikings to pay him $12 million for a year (he did sign a 2 year contract though) is ridiculous.

If I were a Vikings fan, I would be pissed off. My team could have paid someone like Jeff Garcia half of that and then went out and got another decent receiver.

Favre's legacy will no longer be the Packers QB who loved to "sling it and have fun", he will from now on be forever known as the guy who holds the record for most intercepts, mooned the team that gave him so much and took the entire league and fans for a ride.

If he just wants to play football, he'd have signed up earlier and for less money.

Minnesota will be a better team for it, no question. Not hard to improve on the two guys that had at QB battling for the job. I just think Favre has already hung around one year too long with the Jets ...

With that said, Favre lands in a great situation. The Vikings are a genuine SB chance as long as Peterson is healthy. Favre recognises this and is likely to have the last laugh and a pretty good season.

how on earth can any vikings fan be happy soap opera boy is now playing for their team?

i couldn't hate a qb more than i hate favre (from the very beginning) and i don't even follow a team in his division. how can fans that hated him for 15 years suddenly like him? i wouldn't be able to do it.
