Fear the Walking Dead

Watching the pilot atm, keen to see where this series goes.

I thought the series goes until the beginning of the original series? Isnt it meant to be the events that lead up to the world turning into zombies?

Looks good though

I thought it was fine.
Introduces the characters, gives you a hint at the situation, builds up at the end.

What else do you want? This sin't like the original where the show starts during the zombie apocalypse. It's the very beginning. Zombies aren't just going to start running our from everywhere.

I thought it was very good. Built up nicely with some nice touches like Nick's zombie like stagger in the church. So many people complaining online about it - that's the internet for you.

6 episodes only, leading in to the next TWD season and then another season next year.

I thought it was pretty good. Solid build up whilst introducing new characters etc.

Looking forward to the rest of the series and the downfall of civilisation.

I liked it for what it was.

People piss and moan constantly about how two-dimensional the characters on The Walking Dead are, so it's a bit weird to see people now complaining that Fear the Walking Dead is taking the time to establish who its characters are.

I particularly liked the junkie kid. Sure, junkies are annoying, but he was an interesting guy to follow. Arbitrary rebellious teen daughter is a bit boring, so I'm glad her boyfriend seems like zombie fodder. Maybe she'll stop being so baselessly merkiny.

The presence of Rebellious teen daughter better not prevent her from hooking up with Jannae Timmins in the next season of the 100.

Interesting premise, kind of crappy mid section but picked up at the end. Will subscribe.

lol can never please everyone.

Anyway I've enjoyed the 1st two episodes. It's cool seeing how the whole outbreak starts. I thought The Walking Dead could have had some more detailed flashbacks to it but oh well, so far so good for FTWD.

That bf of the daughter was in The Wire right?

Fear the walking dead?

More like the sleeping dead.

Needs more action otherwise we'll all die of bordem.

I'm with CH. I'm really liking the slow burn feel to it. It's made walkers scary again after the main show has slowly shifted them to either the background or an annoying jump scare device.

Episode three was really enjoyable aside from whatshisname's stubborn refusal to acknowledge the walking dead or the need to kill them.

I'm quite enjoying it so far. I like the walking dead but i really feel now that it has surpassed the timeline of the comics (Hasn't it? I haven't read one for about a year or two as they only have one issue a month and it's tiny -) it's time to do a mass slaughter of characters and freshen it up a bit.

Any idea if the second season will be different characters? Any chance they are building some of these characters to show up in the walking dead?

No, at least one other very good villian in the vain of the Governor is in the comics.

Probably a series or two with him.
