the reason mateo has been so strong this year is because he has been a lot more selective in his offloading. he has been using his running game and footwork a lot more then just looking to offload every tackle for the sake of it...

Mateo's footwork at the line is extraordinary and his real strength. Even if you ban him from offloading and play him in the middle of the ruck that footwork will get you 15 metres a run plus linebreaks. Such a gifted player.

Mateo was good tonight like always. He just pushed himself so hard and gave 100% had an error (?) in his game but no player is Mr. Perfect everyone make's errors. If he does set himself to play for NSW over this country then I think he can definetly be a bench spot next year and used as a player for 2nd phase play (Which let's admit we need it). He is great on defense and always get's good meters out of his set with footwork. Banning him off-loading would be a stupid move just think some stricter coaching and phase-playing in regards to offloads

Williams, Depends how he plays next year there is better choices we can pick. We don't need size to intimidate QLD. We showed in GameII this year we don't just speed, some strength and to play real competitive football. Who thought such a young warriors outfit would get this far in the comp?

Any thoughts on Mateo, Williams and Maloney?
Mateo - Played a pretty strong game again, tried hard to help the warriors get back into the game however some loose offloads came with this. Still a strong game however.
Maloney - I thought he did a good job playing as a 5/8, supported and kicked well and defended great.
Williams - I swear I didn't even see him out there, quiet game I thought

I think plans changed because of Glen. He has been a star over the past couple of weeks. He has even admitted the move to 2nd row forced him to get involved. Less errors then Mateo, but Mateo can get offloads out almost at will.

Either player is needed to drag in opposing defenders like Matt Scott provides for QLD

I was calling for these two before the season even started! But geee I dunno what they'll do, the backrow is rock solid.

This would be the front row rotation.

8 Mannah/Grant
10 Gallen
14. TLL
And these would be all the contender for the back row and 2 reserve spots. The ones that have played are all proven performers, well except Stewart, who's been used wrong. So yeah some really tough choices! I'd be happy either way, just as long as they don't pick that hack Creagh.
