Does size actually make any difference at all to the results/game?

Nope. The ratings are based on their actual performance in the NRL/ESL. There's no exact science to it. Stats play a large part, but there's also judgement involved. There are players who statistically don't look crash hot but who are game-breakers.
Generally speaking, stats win out for the most part. You'll get an idea how it all shapes up when we post stats after the draft.
As it is, I'll probably have Baz and Didgi submit their opinions (since they're familiar with the sim) and I'll average them out with mine.
Wish I knew player ratings BEFORE the draft. Maybe Daniel Mortimer isn't the straight 9.5s I assumed he was?
Also, just a bit on the ratings I was wondering, does past count for anything? As in with players like T-Rex and Benji, who were once considered two of the top players in their positions who have a had a sharp drop off in form? And do they change throughout the season or do they stick from day one?

And what happens during the off season/when players are injured irl?
Do we field 13 players or 17? And if the latter, does it have to be a realistic bench composition or can you load up on halfbacks and centres for attack stats?
17. I've never noticed a huge impact based on bench composition, but forwards generally come off more often. They'll need replacements and if none are available, a halfback will play in their place. Given most halves will have low defense and halfbacks can't play prop, it may not be pretty.
So what you're saying is that rotating a pack of wrecking balls is a good idea..?
Are we picking more than 17 players?
Are there injuries in the game?
When's the next draft round?
Who should we be rabbling at because they don't have a list and are going to hold us up?
In the original comp I set up, I was quite successful on the back of running a half/hooker, two forwards, and a fullback/winger at 17. Or just all forwards.
