South Canberra Knights v Sydney Vipers
Sydney have confirmed their place in this year's finals series and cast serious aspersions over South Canberra's credentials this afternoon, the NSW side humbling their capital counterparts 38-18 in front of a disappointed but not surprised Canberra crowd. The home fans had cause for hope when their side lead 12-10 at half-time, but a halftime spray from the Sydney coach worked minor miracles.

Defense wasn't something on display in today's clash between also-rans Ipswich and Quahog, but it was the struggling Queensland side who laughed loudest in a somewhat surprising 42-26 defeat of a Quahog side fighting desperately to sneak into the top eight. The win gives Ipswich hope of avoiding the wooden spoon, while Quahog are looking extremely unlikely to make a finals appearance in their first season.

Raymond Terrace Tanks v Brisbane Bulls
Fans in the Hunter today were left singing the praises of Greg Inglis after the superstar near singlehandedly guided his side to a share of the spoils in an enthralling 19 all draw with front-runners, Brisbane. The Queenslanders looked to have the game well in hand with an 18-0 halftime lead, but two tries to Inglis and a Broughton special had things locked at 18 all going into the final five minutes. Adam Reynolds' cool-headed field goal looked to have staved off the fight-back, but Inglis proved equally adept as he piloted him his own one pointer from just inside the Bulls' half.
