Ponte Preta remain the story of the late season, the unheralded side continuing its remarkable resurrection under their new coach with a thrilling 30-26 win over the Brisbane Bulls.
After trailing 20-14 at half time, the Billy Goats showed their true grit as they surged home to lead 28-20 in the dying minutes. While Adam Reynolds was again inspirational for the visitors, his miracle-working fell agonisingly short.

With the race for eighth place so close, the big win does wonders for Roma's slim chances, while Mu'a will be praying that Sydney drop their upcoming match with the Grapes of Nanking to keep their top four hopes alive.

It looked as good as done and dusted at half-time. Sydney were home and hosed in their push to reclaim 4th on the ladder as they lead a shell-shocked and injury hit Grapes of Nanking 24-8. Whatever was said in the sheds at half-time was something remarkable however, as the visitors scored thirty unanswered second half points to record a 38-24 win over the stunned Vipers.
The win sees the Grapes leap-frog the Vipers into fifth position, and the battle between the two sides and Mu'a for fourth and the safety net it promises is sure to heat up in the final two rounds.
