Fighting to keep their top eight hopes alive, Raymond Terrace have gone down to Mu'a 14-10 in an a scrappy but entertaining game. The away side stormed home from 8-0 down to lead 10-8 headed into the final quarter, only for Mu'a to snatch victory and end their hopes of a top eight berth.

Perth have emphatically sealed their place in this year's top eight with a dominant 34-0 win over an injury hit and directionless Quahog, whose coach had clearly clocked off a week early after his side's own top eight dreams ended a week ago. The Perth pack were rampant against the lacklustre American side.

In a battle with absolutely no bearing on the top eight or the wooden spoon, South Canberra ended their season to forget on a memorable note with an 18-8 win over the Reds. In a game where it could be argued that the Queensland side were the better outfit, the Knights took their chances in sealing a ten point win.

Points came thick and fast today in Sydney's game against Shenzhen, with thirteen tries being scored in Shenzhen's 44-30 win on the road against Sydney. The Vipers have lost some of the spring in their step since their coach disappeared to Mexico a few weeks ago, while Shenzhen sealed second spot on the ladder with the big away win.

With nothing to play for but pride, Roma have racked up a big 48-12 win to end their impressive debut season. With Machu Picchu already consigned to the wooden spoon, Roma enjoyed a fairly easy training run in their eight tries to two win.

Ponte Preta's seemingly unstoppable run of form came up against the minor premiers today and was found wanting, with the South American side good without ever being good enough to trouble the league leaders. The visitors lead 16-6 at half-time and triumphed 30-18 in the end, the Billy Goats tenacious but never able to really pressure the minor premiers.

With both coaches absent, the final game of the season saw a determined Brisbane hold out a Grapes of Nanking side to snatch a 16-14 win and go into the finals on a winning note. Both sides scored a pair of tries, but Adam Reynolds' boot was enough to see the home side...uh...home.
