New England Celtic v Raymond Terrace Tanks
Raymond Terrace have pushed an injury hit New England to the very brink of their first defeat of 2016 this week, only to have a late Josh Mansour try prove their undoing. Lead 12-6 at halftime, the visitors had to fight back to get it to 18 all on the back of some impressive work from Michael Gordon and their forward pack, but a sucker punch try from New England was enough to get them home 24-18.

Ponte Preta Billy Goats v Quahog Quagmires
Ponte Preta have clawed their way back into the winner's circle today with a hard-fought 34-22 win over luckless Quahog, but they'll be far from impressed with the manner in which they had to come from behind against an injury hit and out of form Quagmires. Trailing 18-12 at halftime and 22-18 headed into the final quarter, Ponte Preta's class shone through on their way to a third win of the season.
Ponte Preta: Josh Hodgson, Daniel Tupou, Michael Morgan, Ryan Hoffman 2, and Jorge Taufua. Ratchford 5/6
Quahog: Brad Takairangi, Junior Paulo 2, and Jack De Belin. Maloney 3/5

Shenzhen Sharkitohs v Perth Reds
In a clash between two 2015 finalists struggling for form, a late Tyrone Peachey try has given Shenzhen a narrow 22-16 win against a much-improved Perth. The home side lead throughout, but had a nervous finish on their hands leading 18-14 headed into the final minutes. For Perth, it was a loss not without positives, with Tyson Frizzel in especially intimidating form.

Grapes of Nanking v South Canberra Knights
Nanking have put together an impressive second half to overcome a 6-2 halftime deficit and blow South Canberra off the park in front of a massive Chinese crowd. South Canberra were a defensive wall in a tight second half, but crumbled under intense Grapes' pressure to drop the game 22-6.

Mt. Disappointment RLFC v Brisbane Bulls
If you hadn't bought into the hype before tonight's clash between unheralded Mt. Disappointment and former powerhouse, Brisbane, tonight signalled a brutally efficient changing of the guard as the Victorian club ran roughshod over a Brisbane side with none of the intimidation factor it once possessed.
The home side lead 22-0 at halftime and ran away 46-12 winners to continue their six game winning streak and signal they are well and truly a force to be reckoned with.
Mt. Disappointment: Justin Carney 2, Jamie Lyon, Kieran Foran, Ryan James, Dylan Walker, Brenton Lawrence, and Brett Stewart. Sezer 7/8
Brisbane: Jack Wighton and Alex Glenn. Reynolds 2/2

Sydney Vipers v Mu'a Saints
Sydney remain moored to the foot of the FFBRL ladder today after a nail-biting 26-24 loss against the visiting Mu'a Saints. The home side showed marked improvement to lead at halftime, but fell off the pace as the game continued. Trailing 26-18 shortly before fulltime, a consolation try perhaps made Sydney look better than they were.
Sydney: Ben Barba, Antonio Winterstein, Jarrod Croker, and Ben Hannant. Croker 4/4
Mu'a: Rhys Hanbury, Michael Jennings 2, and Andy Lynch 2. Richards 3/5
HT Score: 12-10

Ipswich Reds v Roma Vandali
Life without Johnathon Thurston isn't looking so bad for Roma today, with the Italian club grabbing its second win in as many weeks and doing so in convincing fashion. Todd Carney was inspirational for the visitors, having a hand in three tries as his side ran out comfortable 34-12 winners against the struggling Queensland club.
Ipswich: Joel Monaghan and Greg Bird. Lamb 2/2
Roma: Luke Lewis 2, Tom Opacic 2, Eloi Pelissier, and Sam Rapira. Carney 5/6
