Methinks you're wrong, bitch

:thumn
If it was my cash and not giftcards, then I would possibly agree.
As I said originally, seemed like alot to give up for $20, but it is becoming apparent that I possibly got things I shouldnt have.
So, good for you, but I cant see the value in missing the pre-order bonuses and the ability to get DLC, and not being able to play it as soon as you pay for it, for the sake of saving $20 odd.
I hope, for your sake, that they dont add some really cool DLC.
Tried playing this the other night and realised the first disc is munted.
FFX really doesn't age all that well. When I first played it I was blown away by the entire production, enjoyed the character tropes, thought they established a really good nemesis and enjoyed the overall mystery of the game.
But then I went back to it and found most of the characters to be wooden or annoying, a lot of silly JRPG tropes were thrown in that annoyed me, Blitzball was stupid, gameplay was ridiculously easy with Yuna in the party and certain sequences just dragged on too long (Seymour, the finale etc.).
I also don't think a game with as many wacky character designs should take itself so god damn seriously. Half the fun in FFIX is that it seems no matter what happens the characters are sort of playing along with you.
With that said, the music is still awesome.
nice, i've only played through 7, 10, 13 and some of 12. 7 was definitely my favourite, with 10 a close second. Chronotrigger is brilliant, although i haven't finished it either (only partial). i must get around to that, actually.I've played FF 1 through 10 in the last 7 years or so...My favourites were 7 and 9. I want to replay 4 and 6, old school RPGers rate them more highly than I seem to on first impression - Chronotrigger is considerabely better imo.
