it is great news Rodney is back.He will need a big game this week.As spots on the bench will be fought over with Woolnough,F pulutua J paulo back in 4 to 6 weeks giving him limited time to shine. We also have Mckendry, bell, blackett,Bateman already there fighting for spots

Was speaking to Big Mick last night about this topic. We both agreed that Elliott could realistically stick with Woonough,Bell,Rodney and Aiton as his bench, injury permitting offcourse.

That will enable us to field an absolutely awesome 20's pack and bench later in the year. Which might look like this.

8.Blackett 9.Iosefa 10.Grant 11.Leeds 12.Paulo 13.Theoharous (c)
14.McKendry 15.Penese 16.Arona 17.Goodwin/Tia Tia/Orton/Glasby

Just imagine the likes of Coote,Graham and Iosefa taking advantage of that go forward...
We will probably win the 1st Toyota Cup with that side.

I can't see McKendry going from the bench of first grade to the bench of U/20's. I'd say Blackett would go back to the bench. But yes, the go-forward and platform for the backline to work off would be extremely scary for the opposition.

I just think McKendry is more usfeul when coming off the bench and Blackett is a better starter. Either way it will be an awesome pack and bench.

Personally, I enjoy watching the U/20's more than the FG. They are young blokes with heaps of talent that show that they really WANT TO WIN.

Looks good for 2009!

We have better young blokes than Woolnough, but I believe he is back round 12. FYFI.

I know I drink with you and have known you for a long time, but are you serious. Woolnough was terrific prior to his injury and I cannot wait for his return.

Woolnough is a plodder. I'm glad we've got his services, but I believe McKendry and Blackett will be better options for us in 2009.

aiton played limited time because he picked up a injury less than a few minutes after getting on the field.I seen him going of with the trainers

Don't mean to sound like a wanker or anything...but if that is what is needed to ensure Iosefa gets a crack...

Rodney will improve a lot once he gets a few games under his belt. Our go forward just was not there 1st half.

All except that I must have missed Roons having the best game he has had all year.

I guess not being directly responsible for most of the opposition's points qualifies it as being his best game of the year.

He even managed to get a touch on an attacking kick from one of our players!
