Finch Tipped To Rejoin Maguire At Souths

True. And I believe he is a good coach. I know a lot of people bag Souths out, but I believe in the saying "when Souths are doing good, rugby league is doing good", which is why I hope you (and Parramatta, but never Cronulla! lol) get a Premiership.

I'd have a lot of faith in your coach though, so if he wants Finch, he must see something that we don't.

Cheers for that!

It is probably a fact that the lack of any decent 5/8s available for next year, means that he is looking for a stop gap until we get one. He knows everything about his game, so he may do for now.

In any case, if Inglis stays fit, his job should be to shovel the ball to him as often as possible.

He is going good with the bears. Until Hunt moved up, they were a real good combination and part of the reason the Bears sit where they are on the table. I think what I like best about him is he's one of these halves with a voice. He's out there barking orders and is a good organizer. Sutton (as a captain as well) could take one or two tips. And if the question was should we rather try him (or Hunt or whoever) as a stop-gap instead of Finch......my answer is yes.

I don't know why everyone is so against this.
If he is actually playing as good footy as the articles is stating then it would be good to give Reynolds one season with a proven performer at 6. It would do a lot to improving his own game I would think.

Valid point. I will put my hand up and say I have literally only watched him play twice in recent times. So I cant really judge how he is currently doing. What I do find funny is that the quotes are from his agent. His agent is not exactly going to say that he is not up to it.

If Finch was any good he's still be playing in the NRL. Finch returning to the NRL would be huge gamble, we may as well gamble on a rookie and look to the future.

This is just his agent talking.... Finch is average at best over here. Another Aussie looking for a massive payday and payrise. Wigan have better players than finch. He is playing behind an awesome young pack.

We've been linked with every half on the market since Sandow left and never signed or confirmed interest in any of them (apart from maybe Cronk). Point is this is just more speculation. Wasn't Finch linked to us last year too? I don't see it happening. I see Hunt being groomed for the halves and will be the first in before anyone else. Besides. Suttons kicking game last week was great, forced a few repeat sets and he had two try assists. We're hardly struggling to find a good halves combo.

Its a management ploy. We've had to deal with it for years. All you do is shrug your shoulders and wait to see if there is an official signing.

Ozzy,

Say we sign Finch on a single year contract.

How many rounds do you think before we would start a Souths FOFF?

We need your guidance with this one.
