But the instant Finch was thrown a lifeline by the Storm (for bugger all money), an outcome like this became possible.
I am not a Finch hater; I don't mind him. And he has played good football at the Storm, from what I can see.
But the Storm's success has had more to do with other players (Slater, Inglis, Cronk, Smith, Blair etc) than Finch (although he did plug a gap in their backline capably) and Parramatta appear to be better off for losing him. So Finch may laugh, but not with sober judgment
