Well the first five weeks of pre-season have been played and as much as we would have liked our teams to have gotten a better start (DAMN OAKLAND!!! lets hope u dont lose any more!) some of our teams havnt.

what teams does everybody think have shown a better start to the season than last year.

i believe oakland for one have lost some easy games and havnt started the way hey would have liked. i also believe this is true for the eagles, packers, steelers, jets and the 49's

the vikings and the chiefs have had a blinder of a start and if they continue there form, look good for a play-offs birth

The stand out team in this regard by far is the Vikings, they were 0-4 last year, this year they are 5-0. Unbeleivable considering they are missing Michael Bennett their young star running back and Daunte Culpepper has missed the last 2 games.

The reason the Eagles are looking ordinary is because they havent decided on a running back and as a result defences have all day to target McNabb, who is also looking surprisingly shaky. Brian Westbrook may be the bolter for their starting RB pretty soon as he does well and the coaches do like him more than Staley.

My opinions on Oakland are well spread in other threads so i wont add them hear again, but losing to the Bears is disgraceful, the Bears are the worst team in the NFL

GREEN BAY PACKERS mate, Ahman Green will be getting the ball down hill for this VERY VERY tough stretch coming up for my Packers and with Favre in some form again after his below par standard start to the season it`ll put them in great sted for the rest of the season I feel.

the best rivallries are divisional rivallries, and there is none better than the vikings v packers rivallry. they are both in form and both extremely top teams and it wouldnt be a suprise if they both get through to the play-offs if not on a divisional win but on a wild card entry.

i havnt been her in a while so i wouldnt know what paullyboy ment by:

but i know paullyboy's stand on oakland and its much like my stand on the vikings. but i do agree that losin to the bears was very very discraceful, especially for a team that made it to the superbowl last year.

The AFC looks much stronger this year with the Colts, Chiefs, Broncos, Dolphins and Patriots all extremely strong sides. The AFC playoffs are going to be awesome. Dallas has surprised me with their great start as has Carolina but I still think the top AFC teams will account for all NFC teams bar TB and Minnesota quite easily.

As for the duds so far. Pittsburgh and Oakland are the duds of the AFC while the Rams, Giants and Eagles look to be medicore this season.

i think your spot on there. the NFC teams have won more superbowls than the AFC teams but i think that AFC have a really good chance of taking it out this year with so many teams in form

P.S. Go ELWAY!!!!! wat a champ

we heard the same tune last season but come january the nfc team was always going to win. i don't see a change this season.

and please, don't clump the rams with those other losers. the rams will build up steadily as the season progresses.

however, this is the vikings' year.

hmmm thats a pretty tough call only 5 weeks down. it sure does look so far that the AFC teams are in better form tho.

ummm its pretty obvious that the rams have not been in form since they LOST the superbowl 2 years ago, and by the way they have started the season it doesnt look like they will do any better this year.

like i said, it was the same last season.

before the season started i held high hopes that the rams of 99-01 would return but alas, they have not. and they won't with bulger as the starting qb. they have turned into a workmanlike team but they will improve and it doesn't mean they don't have a chance. 2-2 is a hell of alot better than 0-5.
