The NRL has released the draw for the first five rounds of the 2007 NRL season.
The Rabbitohs draw is as follows:
Round 1 - Away vs Roosters - Monday 19 March at 7pm - Aussie Stadium
Round 2 - Home vs Eels - Sunday 25 March at 3pm - Telstra Stadium
Round 3 - Away vs Sharks - Saturday 31 March at 7:30pm - Toyota Park
Round 4 - Home vs Bulldogs - Friday 6 April at 7:30pm - Telstra Stadium
Round 5 - Home vs Knights - Monday 16 April at 7pm - Central Coast Blue Tongue Stadium

Sweet, I think we can beat Roosters, Eels and Sharks and go close in the others.

The game against the Dogs is a Friday night game! Seems all our pre-season hype is paying off with a TV game on a Friday night. It's been ages since our last Friday night game, mid ninety's would have to be the last one.

I thought in 02 we had a couple of friday nights when we had all the hype and public support after our return and nine were trying to capatalise, i think we got belted by both the dogs and the roosters.

Im pretty pissed about the Monday night game in Gosford, we are scheduled to play only 2 games at blue tongue this year, and the NRL have already scheduled one for a monday night? Who the f**k is going to be able to get home from work, drive up north, watch the game and drive home again for the early start tuesday?
That really is dissapointing, 1 game i already miss out on with a season ticket because its just not practical.

On a lighter note, i am also truly stoked about the friday night game against the dogs, its been a long time coming, gonna be a great night.

The NRL have really had a shocker with putting the Gosford game on a Monday night. That is really supid. How many people won't be able to go because of work commitments.

I think it will go OK.

Its a show of faith in Gosford and our brothers and sisters to our North.

Cheers

Yeah but they'll still get a big crowd of locals up there.

Thats probably true Melon, and fair enough, and i know its good for league and it was the clubs decision to play this round on the coast, but do you think its a bit of poor planning for the NRL to schedule one of only 2 of our regular home games that have been allocated for blue tongue on for a monday night?
The Souths/Roosters rivalry bullsh*t aside, doesnt it just seem like piss poor planning?

Matt, the Rooster/ Souths Game whilst being on a Monday night is at Aussie Stadium not Gosford.

The Monday night game at Gosford is against the Knights which will attract a lot of fans from Newcastle and Gosford and some from Sydney as well.

I know that zigwaa, i was just asking melon for his opinion as a league fan and not as s hater of souths.
The only game im asking about is the souths vs newcastle game, as that was the one he made comment on.

Oh ok sorry, my mistake.

I understand it's hard to get drunk and shout on a Monday and then back up for work the next day.

I was at the game against Knights in 2005 when we flogged them at Gosford. Great game.

Yeah Mini had a blinder, great try he scored down the left side off a Joe Williams pass (although it was a metre forward, I was in-line with it).

I remember a deflated Joey on the backpage of the Tele the next day.

A day that cemented us in the hearts and minds of our Central Coast family.

A day of unmitigated glory!
