Greg Inglis has never been convicted of a crime. His child with another woman was conceived while he was single (anybody who has watched Friends would understand what being on a break means) and his wife has known all along.
Beau Ryan was not on a break, he socialized with the other man while sleeping with his fiance. And his wife found out the same day the whole world did.
Cheating is terrible but it should not be public information. Once upon a time journalists only published private info if it was in the public interest. This is not public interest, this is just gutter click baiting.
I have never liked Beau Ryan, I think he did a terrible thing, but I feel for him that the whole world knows his deepest secret. I wonder how many journos who do gutter journalism have faultless morals themselves.
What? Why in god's name would you feel sorry for him? He brought his family into the public eye through social media, the Footy Show. He made himself a household name, and to the point where without any real interest I knew his kid's name and his wife as well. No one sat in his garden and spied through his window with this affair, it came out through the cheated on party. If he was a private man, I'd still not have any sorrow for him but I wouldn't expect it to play out through the media as much as it has.
Just like Tiger Woods, if you're going to stick yourself out there and cultivate this family first, I'm such a great guy persona - don't be at all surprised when the same media outlets you took money from then turn on you and make headlines based on where you shouldn't have stuck your dick. So yeah it is public interest because he made his life public interest. No one made him become a media personality.
I have a daughter and I think I'd never get over her growing up knowing I cheated on her mum, the person who means the most to her. It's just disgusting.
Only part I'd agree with on is journalists and the 'let he without sin' comment.
