1. Determine the starters in the 1, 6, 7 & 9. Give them a structure and roles to play and have back-up options if things go wrong such as injuries or poor form.
2. Choose 4-6 props and tell them they all have to get us going forward.
3. Play Fulton at lock and get a rotation for the other backrow spots that gives us impact.
4. Choose outside backs with speed and impact.
5. Set two goals for the team:- 1. To have the best defence in the comp and 2. To be minor premiers next year.

HULL FC target Jacob Miller looks set to stay in the NRL at Wests Tigers as new coach Mick Potter has identified him as one for the future.
The Black and Whites have made an offer to the 20-year-old half-back in a bid to tempt him to Super League in 2013. Desperate to sign a scrum-half of quality, Hull took the step of making both Gold Coast captain Scott Prince and Miller aware of the terms they were prepared to offer.
FC hope one of the two will come to fruition, but Miller now looks to be out of reach, given confirmation of Potter's appointment.
Wests' recruitment manager, Warren McDonnell, told the Mail Potter had already spoken to him about Miller ahead of his appointment, stressing he was part of his plans.
"Jacob has another year left to run on his contract here and I don't think a move to Hull FC will be happening," McDonnell told the Mail.
"I spoke with Mick about his plans for the future and Jacob is part of them.

Thank god that Potter sees potential in Miller.
What a f**king breath of fresh air. Go to hell Sheens for putting half the team at halfback over him.

Good news. I'll be spitting chips if we loose Miller to ESL through our inaction to date. I'm glad Potter has had a reassuring word with Miller. Bet that would not have happened under Teflon.

Must admist I was a doubter however, comes across as an impressive operator. Biggest issue is making sure all the support staff are new or else there will be issues.

First thing I'd do would be to have a private chat with Robbie Farah to get his thoughts on what has been going on at the club and to ask what he thinks the priorities are.
Then, get rid of all the Sheens era support staff and bring in a new team.
Benji to 5/8
Buy a prop

This, except I can't see how they can get rid of his support staff if we can't afford
to pay out sheens.

I'm guessing the support staff aren't on long contracts - they'd just be salaried employees wouldn't they? Give them the flick and Potter hires new staff. Should be the same wages bill, more or less.

Hopefully that is the case, Potter deserves to have his shot with his own people.

Brother Jim suggested:

2. Train Miller as a number 7 in the offseason
Might happen now?
Meanwhile, Hull FC owner Adam Pearson has said the English Super League club will sign rookie Wests Tigers halfback Josh Miller over Scott Prince if he accepts an offer before the Gold Coast captain.

''We've made final offers now for Scott and Jacob and we'll see where that goes,'' Pearson told BBC Radio Humberside.

The Herald has been told Miller had been exploring his options before the appointment of Mick Potter to replace Tim Sheens as Tigers coach but he was now likely to stay.

This indicates, to me anyway, that the kid was certainly not a happy Tiger Cub but maybe can see a change coming now.

3. Tell Moltzen he is now a utility, but his place as utility is not certain
I'd release him and let him sign with Gosford in the NSW Cup.

Potter should let Benji know that the Oaks isn't all that busy on a Thursday lunch and they will probably get a table without having to ring ahead. Failing that, if Hino and Ryan are such good mates, Benji can always ring em, call in a few favours and get a table for Benji and Loltzen.

Potter can then also tell Benji he is now 28 and that he is running out of time to win another comp and to knuckle down, don't throw balls into row z, think a bit more and not butcher 2 semis in consecutive years with kicks out on the full or not kicking at all.

Tell him if he does this it will be all good for him to start texting after games about where he is going out and Farah won't even blow up about it.

On another note, Woodsy was training yday arvo at Anytime Fitness @ Rozelle. Do you think Benji is ?

And from the other paper.

http://www.news.com.au/sport/nrl/hu...yes-jacob-miller/story-fndujljl-1226503245203

The following piece alone indicates that someone in Sheens back office team saw something in Miller.

However, Hull newspaper reports claim the Super League club may be leaning toward 20-year-old Miller after Prince, 32, could not commit at Gentle's face-to-face meeting.

Reports said Miller could be moulded by Gentle alongside ex-Bulldogs half Holdsworth and would be a better long-term option for the club.

Maybe Humpty can come up with some great plan to let him go to the UK and then have 1st call on him in 2 years time?

Whats the story behind this?

After another shit loss the players got into the change rooms and benji could not have given a f**k and was texting before Farrah even go into the rooms about where he and Ryan were going out. The reason Ryan and hino were f**ked off was to smash up benji's little social club because players like Farah and Fulton couldn't cop his not giving a shit.

It sounds like potter will not give benji the latitude supercoach did
