I remember 1988 it was going to be same thing minor premiers everyone was pumped.

I was at shark park last round of the season when we were crowned minor premiers.

Next year we struggled to make finals then fell off a cliff.

So I am not going puts us in good stead, when it counted no one stood up

We were busted mate. Our grand final was last week and we couldn't ice it. We win last week and it's a different ball game. I'm surprised that after decades of following the Sharks that everyone still takes it so hard. Rather go out in straight sets than not be playing finals at all. Big learning curve imo.

We won the comp the season after getting a 39 zip trouncing, matt scott ran over luke lewis like a speedhump and Lewy was one of our best in 2016. Hopefully that can happen with Dale next season where he has a great year as well.

2016 was the ultimate Sharkies depression cure. I still watch, I still get fired up during the game and a little after, but one day later I realise it’s all just a game.

Can’t believe the misery of some here, and the death riding.

Bloke coaches one season and takes team from outside the 8 to 2nd, loses a prelim qualifier by a bees dick after being f**ked by bunker decisions and half his team battling injuries, flunks out because the juice was gone after the week before….. and people basically saying more or less they want him sacked .

The outside the eight was a bit of a false economy.

We were a Top 8 team, then we decided to have a season without a coach.. don't think too many teams that would make good in that scenario.

68 points in two weeks when our improvement was meant to be in the areas of mental fortitude and defensive structure..

We managed to knock off 3 of the 4 teams still in this comp and didn't do too badly against the Panthers.

All this in a year where we've a pretty sizeable and suspension toll. We've lost BHU for an extended period, Katoa and Jack Williams both suffered season ending injuries and we lost our fullback for about 8 weeks this year.

We were busted last night and it showed but anyone who can't see the enormous improvement we've managed this year has rocks in their head.

2019 - 3
2020 -0
2121 - 0

Less than Fitz in 1 year.

Also, although the team made semis twice under Morris both times the side lost more than it won and had soft draws. As soft as this years.

Please. Have a look back at what Morris had to contend with. Long list of injuries+ salary cap reduction.

Now we are just making up excuses.

Good clubs have a next man up policy. You just get it done

Father and son, once in finals coaching are now 0-4.

1988 0-2 straight out.
1989 0-1 won playoff to get in lost to Raiders who went all the way.
2022 0-1 .

We need to beat South's it's not a stat Fitz would want that the family could be 0-5 in finals

Lets compare 2 incomparable era's of footy and make a stat around it because we happen to have lived long enough that a father and now also a son has coached the Sharks. Grow up mate.

both Steve and Matt Rogers played for the Sharks and didn’t win a Premiership!!!
