Much smaller men Vicious? Ayshford is tiny compared to most centres he's up against, he's only around 90kgs from memory, a light-weight by comparison.

He still breaks plenty of tackles though and does the hard yards coming out of our own end more than most. I'm not sold on him and he was very ordinary last night in the first half, but had a positive impact in the second half.

Plenty of NRL centres weigh less than 90kgs and play far more aggressively than Ayshford.
The try he scored last night, he was one on one with a winger 3m out from the tryline, tell me what first grade footballer would not have scored that try ??? He even made that look difficult.

Watch him again next week against a physical Manly side, he`ll go MIA.

Plenty? Can you name 5 regular centres in the NRL that weigh less than 90 kgs? I can't think of 1!

He's not a dynamic runner like Lawrence, but it also seems like we don't really have a lot of plays designed for our right side, something people are quick to claim as a defence for years of Collis' ineffectiveness but overlook when it comes to Ayshford.

As I said, I'm not sold on him, but there are couple of good things he does every game, he works hard on bringing the ball back on kick returns and will often break through the first tackle or two. I don't think he has a future at centre, just not quick or skillful enough, but I'm not going to write him off completely.

To call him pea hearted is a bit much as well, he has poor defensive technique a lot of the time but I also recall him playing well against Josh Morris earlier this year.

Funnily enough we play Manly next. I know someone on Manly`s coaching staff who has the same opinion of Ayshford to what I have. Worst centre in the comp was his words, no doubt they`ll be targeting him all day.

Fitzhenry is okay, he was a loyal servent from 2001-2007, but now he is only state cup standard, it's not his fault Sheens loves him.

I didnt see the coverage as I was at the game, but Iam told Johns gave Aysford a rap. From where I was sitting a few rows back from the fence behind our bench I saw him runs some real hard yards and make a few good dashes and a couple of crunching tackles. Okay he had a shirt grab that didnt come off, not the first bloke to do that. On being small, compared to Daniella he is a monster.

Anyway time will tell who is right and who is wrong everyone see things differently

Ayshford is a first grade calibre centre. He's much better at stepping off his right foot which has hampered him in recent weeks and he's also more adapt at leading with his right hand side when someone gets to the outside of him. It's quite clear.
