Silly thing I had Prince instead of Kerr as second option, by the way I support the Prince/Kerr option.

I put kerr although I actually think it should be prince with kerr at half (but that wasn't presented as an option)

I have a terrible feeling it WILL be beuttner though

Im going with Buettner. Buettner yesterday was being rotated between centre and 5/8 it appeared to me so it thinks its pretty hard to guage how he really went. Buettner can play there, we've seen that, he may not be our best option there, but for the moment he will be. I think its pretty obvious Sheens wont switch Prince and put Kerr in which i too would like to see.

Im not expecting Wilson to be retained there, i guess there's a chance Fitzhenry could return there too now that Richards is fit again.

Pete

you didnt watch too many games early last year did you??? Buettner was a joke, and I must admit I was shocked to see him picked, more disgusted than anything. I would rather see Skandalis in the 6 than Buettner and I mean that with all sincerity. But saldy like others I have a feeling that Sheens will pick Mick. Sheens has really disappointed me the last week

He called the shots outside of Fitzhenry though, what did we expect. Im willing to give him a game or 2 outside of Prince,, at least he has the organisational skills, Micks' biggest problem was his kicking game i though, with Prince along side him , he'll be doing far less of that.

no mick's biggest problem last year was his passing, running and defense. He had absolutely nothing. From what I have heard this year of his perfomances in premier league nothing has changed. If a guy cant dominate in premier league, and in fact looked woeful, how the hell do you expect him to go any good in first grade Mr Sheens

true, that, maybe i am wrong, which i will admit could be possible, but it does seem that Sheens is very reluctant to move Prince from half, so Unless Kerr can play 5/8, we're left with Wilson, tried and not spectacular, Fitzhenry, not much better, or Buettner. Im not necessarily supporting Buettner as the way to go, merely im thinking thats the way sheens will go. And if he does go that way, im willing to give Buettner a chance just like all other players.

I would put Fitzhenry at half and Prince at 5/8. Wilson was a joke at 5/8, he is too slow. Buettner no way, he is just as slow as Wilson?? I think!!!

Tiger pete i understand your not supporting the move just stating what you think Sheens will do. However, I think its time to move on. Buettner, if he is going to be given a go, should play at least four weeks of premier league and prove he is up to that level at least. I agree it does seem that Sheens is reluctant to move Prince, and whilst I think thats the best option i think there are others. There is the Kerr at 5/8th option as you suggest and there is no reason why he couldnt do it. However, he is best suited to the number 7. However, if Sheens is that reluctant to move Prince and doesnt see Kerr as a number 6 than I would go with Liam Fulton. A Prince/Fulton combo could be very good. It is probably where Liam is best suited at the moment and it is time some of our young guns were given a bigger roles

Jesus tigers why would you move Fitzhenry to halfback when we have a pretty good player in Kerr playing Premier League

How's Liam been handling 5/8 when he's been there in PL, obviously he'd want to be excelling in that position first in PL before firsts.

From all reports he has been doing fine. With Kerr and Fulton the maggies are a whole different side. With Buettner they are a whole different side alright :) With Fulton I have no doubt he would handle first grade and preferrably I would like to give him more time before he played that role. However, he has more experience than Benji Marshall has and we dont seem to have a problem with playing him. But I have a thought that Mr Sheens was being told to play Benji for the crowds, as it seems totally inconsistent with the way he is bringing the other young guns through. Some of whom are far more polished than Benji. Regardless the best combo in my view would be Kerr/Prince but if Sheens doesnt want to move Prince than Prince/Fulton

Benjio has natural talent to burn and IMO is our best option at 5/8 all season long. Putting Fulton there is far bigger risk because his natural ability and confidence are obviously not at the same level as Marshall, im not saying he cant do it though, like you said, Fulton needs to be playing there in PL for a while more first, but still a place on the bench as a back rower should be just as important right now.

I think u might be right Brook :( To keep Buettner on the field for majority of that awful match yesterday to me suggests he will feature somwhere in that team, and if he does, i will have serious doubts about Sheens strategy (as well as what the !@#$ is he thinking?) to topple the Roosters or at least be competitive. In my honest opinion, he provides Wests Tigers with very little in attack if not nothing, same goes for his defense. He was running along side, and pointing at players yesterday, and for a so called established 1st Grader, that is simply not on...

Now I've heard everything. There is not a player of more natural ability and confidence in the organisation than Liam Fulton. He's captained a Ball side to the Premiership, he's played Australian schoolboys, he has become a dominant player and on field leader in Premiers and has shown nothing but good things in the few opportunities he's had in Firsts. I've always said he's too small for NRL in the back row so if that's whats stopping him from getting more chances then fair enough. There shouldn't be any other reason. He has at least as much natural ability and confidence as Marshall and a Rugby League experience and education that Marshall with his season of school footy and touch could only dream about.

If Sheens persists in playing Prince at half then Fulton is probably the best 5/8 option he has. Since he has been playing there he has flourished and his size is no longer an issue. I always said it would suit him and it has. Barrett gave you a bath running at the line and looking for runners. This is Liam's bread and butter. He's a long way off being a Barrett, but he's a lot closer to it than Wilson or Buettner will ever be.

We are going to at least need a decent kick and chase game just to stay in the contest, and that's besides the fact, that whoever takes the role this
friday night won't be marking a bum.

I'd personally play with the combination of prince/kerr, as i don't think sheensy will mark a kid up against the best in the game.
