Some people around the globe are or will have a glitch to fix on their computers for those that update their video card software.

"Experience" is the desktop application that updates your vid card, audio, etc with the hassle of doing each one separately.

The other good point about this application is it uninstalls old software and there is no need for a restart.

Any,here it is for those that have Nvidia GeForce vid cards:

""CLOSE GEFORCE EXPERIENCE BEFOREHAND!

In order to fix the "GeForce Experience encountered an error and must close." error. Simply hold your Windows Key and R. Once you've done that, a new window on the bottom left corner should pop up titled "Run".

In there, type in this: "services.msc" - without the quotes.

Hit enter.

Then, in there, restart ALL Nvidia services. (right-click choose restart)

Then, once you have done that, simple re-open GeForce Experience, and the error should no longer occur!

Enjoy!

UPDATE: This works with every Nvidia GeForce Experience version!

UPDATE:

According to this .PDF file by Nvidia Downloads: http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/347.52/347.52-win8-win7-winvista-desktop-release-notes.pdf

on page 28, it states this:

Damaged or Missing WMI Service Prevents NVIDIA Driver
Installation

Issue

“Install failed” or “Install Failed, could not find compatible graphics hardware” or "GeForce Experience encountered an error and must close. message
may appear during installation, even if the system has a compatible graphics card. This
can occur when installing the NVIDIA driver or GeForce Experience software.

Cause

This issue could be the result of a corrupt WMI service on your system. The NVIDIA
Installer requires the WMI service to properly install the driver or other NVIDIA
software.

Resolution

You must repair the WMI service on your system in order to successfully install NVIDIA
drivers. A future driver release will alert the user during installation that there is a
problem with the WMI service on the system.

Update:

MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CHANGE THE LANGUAGE SETTING FROM "UNITED STATES". LEAVE THAT AS IT IS. THIS FIXES THE crash for version 2.2.2""
