Can someone tell me why is Flanagan in the team?
Dwyer has rep player written all over him. Flanagan is hybrid Heigno-Fulton that really doesn't offer much at all in the second row and hasn't since his first game. He's a goer but Dwyer is just the complete package who needs 70 minutes of game time right now.

Big wraps to Moors - stepping up nicely.

PS. Ennis is a such a gimp

Flanagan is a worker, he does all the grubby stuff you do not see or read about in the paper.

He is an important part of our make up and an integral part of our team.

I agree. I had some big wraps on him in the beginning but he is just making up the numbers at this stage.

You got Ellis, Dwyer, Payten, and possibly Heighno who are ahead of him at the moment, i reckon.

I just don't see where he fits.
Heighno
Ellis
Dwyer
Galloway
Farah
Gibbs

+Payton
Fifita
Moors
Fulton
then Cayless/Flanagan

Could jag a bench spot while Fulton is out but that's about it. Not first grade material. I don't want to knock the guy. He has heart but it ends there.

Fair call.

Are you Blokes serious!!! The guy works hard and you want to put cayless in front of him on form:crazy: Dwyer is a young kid finding his feet and needs time Flanagan has been a great buy!!! A true starter for cheap:cool:

Flanagan is great.

I think Fulton might have a bit of a battle to force his way back in to the team.

Flanagan works hard for the whole game and allows the other forwards to do the flashy stuff.

He needs to be in the 17.

At full strength, I can't see where we'll fit him in.

Galloway
Farah
Gibbs
Ellis
Fulton
Heighington

Moors
Fifita
Payten
Dwyer (although this will probably be the winger who gets 80 seconds gametime)

Where would we fit him in?

I don't think the tigers will ever be full strength. I like Flanagan, he is a decent player.

Why can't he have Dwyers spot on the bench?

In this day and age, we have farah who can cover halfback as well as hooker, benji can play at 6 or 7. Fulton and Flanagan could play back row and centres, fulton can even slot in at five-eighth and hooker if desperate, ryan and tuqiri can cover all positions from 1 to 5 if needed. If one back goes down, we can replace them easily by just having one or two quick reshuffles.

If a forward goes down, you only end up with two freshies on the bench.

I've always thought if you want to have a utility on the bench, get someone tough enough to play in the forwards but capable enough to play in the centres as well.

Flanagan would be that sort of player imo.

Flanagan has a couple of quiet games and some want him dropped, he deserves some loyalty given he was one of the few players going well when the team was losing.

Flanagan has been solid and definately should have the utility bench spot if not needed in the 13.

I think we are getting ahead of ourselves ,flanagan has not put a foot wrong he is one of a few players in our team who can get down into the nitty-gritty of the game ,dwyer is going vey good at the moment but ,he should stay on the bench for the time being for his impact if anything...

If the team is at full strength, flanagan may miss out. Galloway, Gibbs, Payten, Ellis, Heighington, Fulton, Dwyer, Fifita and Moors would be ahead of him.

Flannagan is a few years younger than Fulton. He does have quite a lot of improvement in him.
