This management, FMD. Sit down on Wednesday to discuss!!! WTF. This should have been done as soon as they decided ( or before ) to cut sooky bum Benny free. This mob move slower than a bloody snail, no wonder we miss out most times.

Cronulla went bang Trindall, bang Nikora. Wait till Wednesday to chit chat and Atkinson will be tied up too. FMD

Agree wholeheartedly piss poor

A Superleague halfback we might have success targeting is Lachlan Lam. He's in town this week to play against the Kiwis for PNG - he's been playing extremely well this tourament albeit against poor opposition. This weekend will be a much more realistic test. However I think he's a likely choice because even though he's under contract for 2025, he's likely to be released to fulfil his NRL ambition because his father is the coach. Also, Shane Flanagan was the PNG assistant during the last World Cup, so he'd have worked with Lam before. I think he's a better choice than all but Atkinson, personally

Mary could have had a little Lam.

Could we entice both Lachlan & get his dad an assistant coaching role? Lachlan would be a better option than a Douehi imo. The only issue with Douehi is his injury history, if it's a 1+1(club option) deal for Douehi that would be a good low risk/high return play.

Pretty much. I feel like it was the same last year, with the expected November signing spree becoming a summer-long trickle. Here was the recruitment timeline (not including the Fonua-Blake and Dearden failures)

Tom Eisenhuth - Nov 17
Corey Allan - Dec 12
Ronald Volkman - Dec 22
Jesse Marschke - Jan 18
Ray Faitala-Mariner - Jan 29
Luc Leilua - Feb 21

Hopefully all our signings are done before xmas. Don't want anyone to have a late pre-season start.

Lam and Atkinson would work for me...

It may all look like a sh** show on first glance, but as frustrating as it is that we are struggling to lock down signatures and fill our voids, it's clear that Flanno isn't going to be taken for a fool.

Didn't Bevan French just re-sign with Wigan until 2028 or thereabouts? Why on earth would this even be a consideration for us, other than a greedy manager trying to extract an "offer to return to Australia that couldn't be refused" along with some compensation on our part - as that's the only way Wigan are going to let him go.

We could do worse than Atkinson and Ilias. Lam is a great potential option. Doueihi could be a good stop/gap if we need to wait until 2026 for more options to come up.

I agree with the club taking it's time to do a full due diligence on Gutherson before everything is made final.
