Why do you do this to yourself?
"Get on with it and sign him up early" When? How?

1) Hes not off contract
2) He would probably come close to commanding 1.5-1.8 million a season
3) He has a complicated family situation that would mean leaving QLD is extremely unlikely

We wont be getting him
1) Hes not off contract

Neither was Galvin...

2) He would probably come close to commanding 1.5-1.8 million a season

He's worth it...

3) He has a complicated family situation that would mean leaving QLD is extremely unlikely

This comes down to whether he's looking for a fresh start and how far the club is prepared to go to assist him to achieve it...

None of these are impossible.

These are the sorts of things the good clubs make happen.

Neither was Galvin... True but not relevant in the slightest. Right now, he's not off contract (officially and is not accepting offers or looking to get out of his contract)
He's worth it... didn't say he wasn't. but we also have to look at the balance of the squad when we already cant attract high end talent

We arent a good club. IF he leaves Brisbane it will be to the Tits. IF he leaves QLD it will be to the Cocks or Dogs. You know it will happen

Payne Haas has parental custody of his two brothers
i think moving him from SEQ would be very difficult
If there is some legal reason why he can't move to the Gong, then that is that. But I believe that if providing access to his mother is facilitated and easy to obtain, then we are in with a shot.

Perhaps but doesn't mean we shouldn't try...

Haas is not just an Alpha prop, he would be the leader of our young pack of forwards:
R Couchman
T Couchman
Stewart
Eagan
Tonga
Jett Liu

All young juniors with a tonne of potentioal.

He's about $1.01 to go to the Titans...

Wants to play with his brother eventually

Ongoing Fifita saga will eventually result in them parting ways which will free up around 1 million the cap is due to increase with new sides entering the competition.

I also think Walters will be their next head coach

Hass will not sign with us. We struggle getting fringe players to sign, the club isnt attractive to any outsiders unless they need a job and are unwanted. Thankfully we have a whole crop of gun juniors coming through right now I wouldn't be paying a prop nearly 2m I don't care how good he is all it takes is a few injuries and after being a battering ram since a kid it will take a toll on his body eventually. Every team in the comp will put up offers but we would be near the bottom on his preference that's for sure.

We should try sign David Fifita as a prop. He's in a bad situation at Titans. He's been dropped, he's refusing to play due to an injury even though Titans physio's have advised him he's ok to play and Titans aren't going good.

Max King would obv be the value
At least half the price of PH and now an Origin forward
No nonsene and gets the job done
Good leader for our young lions coming thru
Sipley from Manly is another that could be handy for say two years , and is off contract end 25
Plus his grandfather played for this great club. He would love to wear the red v

Where is the King talk coming from?

He's contracted until the end of '26.
