It's not a major signing however I'd prefer him over Lawrie, Guler and good to see they have said Lawrie is free to go.
Not sure if he lands a contract elsewhere though.
Lawrie’s Been on the market for 1.5 years no one wants him, poor old management who signed him up for 550k.
Guler hasn’t lit the world on fire . Though I do think he has mongrul in him. Just a matter of trying to get it out of him and play consistent footy. I also think Guler is on a cheap deal

Idm since it's a 2yr deal. He's quality in the right role. He also has some proper size but not too old like klemmer & jdb. It's in a position of need too. Hope it doesn't impact the Mooney, doueihi or other signings.

No problem with Kerr coming back if I'm honest as long as he plays the correct role - off the bench for 30-35 mins, on the field at the same time as Liddle and creating fast play the balls and offloads.

Douehi, for 500k, no thank you. He'd be stupid not to take the deal we're offering in comparison to the Tigers deal, but I'm hoping he doesn't take it. If we have room for another middle (as it seems we do considering we want to play Douehi at 13), we should be stepping up our pursuit of Mooney. Really like him as a player, offering 500k for Douehi when you can get Mooney for cheaper is stupidity in my view, despite the utility value Douehi offers. Douehi is an average player who had a good game on the weekend. Good for him, he's boosted his stocks, doesn't change that he's average and we shouldn't bite on a salary increase because of it.

One of Stewart, Ryan or Toby will go well at 13.

Chevy Stewart needs to be signed also if we are getting rid of Sloan, i think Tommy Talau will come not getting game time at Manly & we like powerful wingers.

Not sure what to make of this. Yes he left just after Hook got sacked and had no relationship with Flanno .
So coming back starting fresh with Flanno may be ok.
Flanno has always said we need more origin players and Kerr was in the 20 man squad.
I’m torn. He has gone to another level at Dolphins but yeah. Weird one
In this case the other side of the coin is important:

Who is Kerr replacing? Lawrie, BMM, Klemmer, Sele ........

Even with the recruitment of Kerr, Mooney, or Uele, we still need a a marquee prop to lead our young pack.

I have, for a long time, championed the idea of Leilua to be included in the prop rotation. This would be a normal career progression move.

My squad for 2026 would be:
1. Ramsey
2. CT/Williams
3. Gutherson
4. Holmes
5. Lawson/Sloan
6. Atkinson
7. Doueihi
8. Marquee Prop
9. Liddle
10. LPT
11. Eagan
12. Su'A
13. Stewart

14. Flanagan
15. Kerr
16. R Couchman
17. Halangahu/Nick T

Our reserve grade squad (our depth) would be powerful.

See this is interesting.. we are supposed to be in the market for a quality winger.. and Flanno has a style of winger he loves... i.e. someone who also carries the ball back strong.. it would be really really nice if this winger was atleast tall or a decent jumper, because ever since we lost Lomax our ability to take short-dropoffs has fallen away.

However imo our ultimate buy is a Fullback who can play Wing.. they play wing 1-2yrs and slot into Guthos spot for injury or as he ages... by that point one of our younger wingers will be ready. But Fullback/Wingers are a) harder to buy b) more expensive and c) usually they are smaller fitter bodies which isnt Flannos ideal winger shape.

So I dunno how this plays out.. and I also dont know if they need to be positive they can move Sloan on before going after a young fullback... but I think if we can move Sloan on, we would consider buying 2 players...

I will say though that Chevy Stewart im not sold on.. im not convinced hes any better than Sloan.. but he is young.

I think BMM will drop out of the 30 but still play cup. Sele will see out his contract I think thought he played well again! NEEDS to stay injury free guess the good thing is it’s been different injuries .
I think Klem deserves another year (low cost)

Mooney toured knights facilties..
As you said , Marquee prop :

- Marquee prop
- Klem (if re signs)
- R Couch
- T Couch
- LPT
- Stewart
- Sele
- Guler
- Egan
- Tsougranis
- Hanagalu
- Liu
- Add in Kerr

Personally don’t think Mooney is even on the radar with the young lads we have coming through.
One marquee prop who can make us 150m+ weekly.

Being reported
Trey Mooney Liam Henry Bailey Simmonson Chevvy Stewart all given permission to look around
Waiting for the first domino to fall from the Titans (fermor) and the rest will follow
Kerr will be ok if like Luch/LKlemm/Guler is used the right way ..2 bursts of 20 mins per half , and we will see a big difference

Liam Henry would be a good bench middle

Halangahu = Sloan.

We need a player like Lomax who has a good attitude and is willing to learn. Right now we just don't have such a player coming through so, hopefully we will recruit such a player.
