Those of you (you know who you are) who were calling for us to sign this bloke last year HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME!

Perry, an Origin 'one-hit-wonder', has been a terrible dissapointment this year for the Knights and has just looked like a fat, slow overpaid nuffy. People were bagging the club when we didn't sign him :shock: From memory he re-signed with Newcastle for $600k over 3 years.

I know Cannings has been missing with a broken arm but he has 100x the potential of Perry and 10x the speed and agility. It was definitely a wise choice to go for Aaron over Josh.

He is obviously struggling at the moment but IMO he goes OK.

Put it this way - at the time of signing either Perry or Cannings, Cannings was being touted as the next Kiwi prop.

Perry, with the likes of Webcke, Civoniceva, Bailey, Ryles and Price ahead of him, would not play for Australia.

I reckon it's a bigger call saying he will never play for the Kiwis. Given the way the Warriors have been playing lately I think the NZ selectors will be looking elsewhere when picking the side, with only so many possibilities Cannings is a shot.

On Josh Perry, well i'm glad we never signed him, he's showed he's not worth the 300k we were rumoured to be going to offer him. It also shows that Brian, Fitzy, whoever, just don't know what they're doing by throwing money at over-rated players.

Oh right, and who is to say that Smith wouldn't have taken Perry and turned him into something from nothing as he has done to numerous others
ie. Hodgson, Wagon, Andrew Ryan etc etc etc
