102-8 Actually.

Saints (Stg and Stg-Illa) now have two records - highest flegg score and highest NRL/ARL/NSWRL first grade score ever.

How much longer does the NSWRL keep on accepting this. I guess they're in the same boat as Norths but at least Norths junior clubs siupport the district. The CC clubs have ties to all these other clubs. With that sort of piecemeal commitment from the district, I think it is a waste of time keeping them there.

This is no laughing matter, its really disappointing. I saw them get beat 80-10 to Parramatta. Small forward pack. They should merge with Norths.

good job :)
I'm sure Danny would have been pleased.... (he was one of the centres, supposedly)
one of my best friends for seven years...

The problem with the CC Flegg side is that they can't keep good players because they don't have a proper pathway to a firstgrade club.
I know Newcastle has four very good players this year who played SG Ball for the RIP last season - and others have moved on as well.

exactly... and I don't see Danny moving anywhere in the near future... he loves it here

and he plays for the Central Coast

Danny who?

If it is Danny who played SG Ball then its a good chance he'll be at cronulla next season...

Neither did Norths last year and they made the finals. This year the funding cut has hurt the Bears.

Many CC clubs don't encourage their player to go to the RIP. Some clubs have agreements with Sydney clubs to send their good players there. If that is the case there is no point having a CC RIP side.

At least Norths have more support from their district clubs.

I can tell you that the central coast junior comp is incredibly strong and has alot of talent, however as stated above, they lose their players to Sydney or Newcastle clubs because the players are going to eventually have to move on becasue we don't have a first grade squad.

Basically the better players go to other clubs and the other guys are left with the RIP.

So It's basiaclly St.George 102 - Central Coast Rip (B Team) 8.

Diehard what is your problem? I thought you loved R League. Yes the Gold Coast got the nod. And I agree at this stage if i was to pick only 1 team out of the 3 candidates in would be the Gold Coast, but why continue to harrass C.Coast fans and Bears supporters. Bit harsh to be laughing at them.

yeah, Diehard leave it to the real supporters to celebrate our victory, which I won't do too much on the forum anyway.

Like I said before it is more than that. NS showed that they can be competitive in Flegg without a first grade path. The RIP have never been close to convincing us.

CC clubs don't get behind the RIP. I heard there are CC clubs with NRL club crests on their shirt - ergo their players feed clubs outside the CC on an official basis. If they don't have support from their area, they shouldn't be there. If they did have the support (but no NRL feeder) they'd be doing better and they'd have their place in the Flegg warranted.

Nope.

Ive got mates that I played all my junior footy with, that would of loved to of represented the coast in Flegg, but were a) Given a better offer by other clubs and b) decided it was better for their future to sign with a club with a direct feeder to an NRL Club.

I was in the tunnel when they came off and they didn't look happy.

Trent Barrett did a nice thing by going out and having a chat with them behind the stand to give them some motivation after the game.

When the teams walked out of the sheds past me, the Rip were like boys to the Dragons' men.

You can't help but feel sorry for them it's like sending lambs to the slaughter every week for them the NSWRL has to do something about this because results like they are getting every week is unacceptable and just plain embarrasing.
