Best case now is a return in the second half of next season

He might never recover to be able to play again or if he does be a shadow of his past form

If they medically retired him insurance covers the payout and he’s taking up a lot of salary cap space

He is 25 years old at 100 games. Prior to his injury one of the best props in the game. You give a guy like that a chance at recovery.

Its only been 1 year as well. 6th April 2024 his injury occurred. Medical retirement will be easy to achieve if he doesn't make it back.
