Some added spice to Fridays game now........I reckon we now should really consider his position within the side. He will surely start in the next few, but we now need to see what we have in reserve for next season, why not get a solid amount of NRL under his replacements belt before 2009.

You can't give up on this season. He will start until he struggles or someone better comes along, which I don't for a second think we have in our squad at the moment

I think the salary cap really needs to be reviewed, this seems to happen with all grand final winners.

IMO we are in serious trouble if the club does not move on offering Bellamy a big money contract to stay...we have no potential replacement for Folau and will need to start scouting now.

If Bellamy goes then we could lose Smith and Inglis as well...it will look bloody grim if the club does not put pressure on Bellamy ASAP.

The Storm's biggest loss has been Peter O'Sullivan.
How can the Broncos be under the Salary Cap?????

Hope the money hungry little prick doesn't play for us again this year.

Piss off, Issy, Tamone will be better than you.

Doubt POS would of been able to retain him.

Yea I'd like to know that.

Lockyer, Hodges. Hunt and Issy'd take up more than half the cap.

Maybe Locky's retiring.

Just hope we didn't upgrade his current contract too much ;-)

Don't be like that.
The desire to play in your home state for the team you grew up with supporting would have to be a big factor.

I belive he doesn't really fit in socially at the Storm anyway. Obviously he is well liked but it's another thing to fit in and feel secure socially.

FMD!! give us a break...

Money hungry or not, he's entitled to get what he can out of the game and at the same time be close to his family, he owes the Storm nothing, sure the Storm developed him after stealing him from Queensland but the kid helped you lot win a premiership which is something that will sit with you for the rest of your life.

get over yourself.

Perhaps, still feel annoyed about it. Tell me this though mate, why is it that NSW born players at teams like the Broncos or Cowboys feel the need to return 'home'?

he gave you a premiership style performance last year and how is he supposed to give you a top effort this year if you insist in wanting to flick him right now?

sorry, I just realised I quoted Klutz and not philstorm, point is, he can do what he wants and it's not as if he's walking away from the contract ala Jamie Lyon, Chris Walker style.

I can't answer that.

But we have guys like Kearns, Robbo, Danny Williams, Kearney ect that have made Melbourne their home after their playing days and the majority of the squad seems to be happy here without screwing the the club for all they can.

A 19 year old moving back to play next to his parents is far different to a Clinton or a Wallace escaping a poor club for a chance of success.

I'd rather Issy stay as well. So would of my son. But only for the right reasons..... The desire to ply with the Storm.

Noted ;-)

No Storm supporter should want him punted.... Unless outa form ;-)

Still owes us a top effort though. Storm gave him the oppportunity last year and he took it.

May I note that last year he was the icing on the cake. Did the odd great thing per game that scored us that try. The rest of the team did more than his share of the hard yards at times.

have you ever considered that maybe a guy like Falau has done more for the Storm than the Storm have done for him, put aside the peformances on the field for a moment he is probably worth an extra 500 people through the gate, he's extremely marketable with a clean cut image and was a media darling throughout the year because of his meteoric rise on the field, he probably entices an extra sposor or 2 to sign up with the club and that's the reason why his manager demanded so much because he knew he can get it.

Falau, iNU, Lawrence, Hayne, Jennings, Luke and Dave Taylor are the new fresh faces of this game and have given this game a massive boost not only are they very good on the field but any club worth their salt would see the potential in them off the field also.

if he's getting the rep[orted 500K [which tbh I doubt] than good bloody luck to him.

Don't forget Dave Taylor and Joel Clinton Ashton Sims, etc...they ain't playing for fun...

But the Clubs have ways of getting around it. Good luck to them...
It will see the demise of the Storm within the next five years...especially if Bellamy follows - and Smith, Slater and Inglis jump ship, which is probably likely...

Oh yeah....Dave Taylor...he is on at least 500k
Simms is on 400
Clinton 450

You have no idea PP...stick to worrying about your own club, cause thats one club that is pushing the cap!
Thing is, you have sweet F all to show for it
