Now I'm really disappointed in you lot.....I've restrained from talking about food and have been away from the net for a while as well and yet I look at the first 20 to 30 threads in here and not one thread about food......so your uncle chile has to balance out the ledger ;-)

So what's your favourite restaurant....

Fine Dining - Alfies's on the Beach (Seafood Caloundra)
Cafe and Bistro Dining - Hogs Breath Cafe
Casual Dining - Lonestar or Sizzlers
Informal/Takeaway - Hungry Jacks or Subway

Al Samar, Mecca Bah, Arriva, Cha Cha Char love love love love

cafes - good ol' coffee club (excellent brekkie) or Cafe Mondial or Aromas or Hidden Secrets

Casual - mmmm Al Samar and Mecca Bah are pretty casual but i must admit i really liked Hogs Breath when i went there. Pig and Whistle is great, all pubs in the city are great for casual dining (and drinking) jimmys has good food but SHOCKING service

takeaway - mandarin master cause they have HOT HOT HOT delivery boys, mmm, and good chinese food. or pizza i guess hahaa

oh oh oh and La Dolce Vita, Breakfast creek hotel and breakfast creek wharf and naughty noodles and mmmm, fit those in wherever they go and i bet i think of more later too, i love restaurants

not personally but i know someone who used to work there and apparently they are good

i found out the other day that the seafood festival is on the 1st of may, which is when i'll be in melbs. i'm devistated

no no no thats later in the year, as part of riverfest. sunday mat 1st is the caxton steret seafood and wine festival, its so much fun, they block off the whole street and everyone is drinking and listening to music and eating all sorts of different cuisines. last time i want (two years i think, missed last year for some reason) i had been out big time the night before, we started there at 12, ate prawns and lobsters and i drank allllllllllllllllllllllll day, i must have drunk about 15 breezers (people were buying for me) and i was goneskies. we went into the cax and LA afterwards and it was mad

Best Italian Restaurant - Valentinos in Broadbeach opposite Casino
Have been there 3 times now, fantastic tucker
Cannolini, BBQ Octopus, greek salad , Lasagna, Tiramasu all highly recommended
