Kos, I'm a lot happier with the future than I thought I would be. With the youngsters we have, I think our transition period, that I think will begin at the end of the '06 season, will be a lot shorter than previuosly envisaged.
Guys like Tom H.( who is having lunch with my 7yo son today ) Slippery's kids and so on look to have the basis of moving through the grades quickly to keep us at a competitive level at the very least.
I spoke with Blackie after the meeting and we both agreed things are loking good for the future, better than I thought.
Cheers Koslecki,

Was there any mention on the guyss coming off contract next year like Gaz and Coops? Have they started talking to them or are they gonna wait till NRL season kicks off and have them playing worring about contrats and having all these NRL clubs try and cut a deal with them for 2007?

I believe that they are looking at keeping as many as possible of the big names, and are starting this procedure ASAP.

Doust has already been meeting with Mimis re Gaz and Coops, so I can guess from that those two are the priority.

With Ennis gone and Bull / Timmo leaving next season and Thommo off the cap at the end of next year will certainly go towards retaining a couple of players possibly 5-6 of our current NRL players anyway.

I suppose Head, Creagh, Poore & Sims are the next line of priority. Is Young contracted past 2006?

From there it's anyone's guess: Best Henderson et al????
