Really annoyingly I kept getting Steve fulmer (blue series). Very easy to get in the hills district back in 1989, though I'm guessing because of this he was rare somewhere else???

Some guy in headgear from the Steelers - think it was Peter Johnston. And Michael Speechley at the Eels. Both cards from the 1995 set

This website brings back a lot of memories, particularly the pink set (1988) and blue set (1989) when me and seemingly every kid at my school were collecting them.

This one in particular seems to stand out in terms of getting quite a few of them...

Does anyone remember back in the late 70s early 80s, on the back of each footy card was a little scene of a much larger photo (which you could put together like a jigsaw puzzle)? It was pretty much a big photo of the previous year's grand final.

I remember on the back of the Kevin Hastings card one year, you could see quite clearly one of the props or hooker had his jatz crackers hanging out of his shorts. I remember Saints were one of teams in the photo so the card would have to be in either 1978 or 1980. Does anyone remember that ?

I do. Was pretty good at flicks and getting sort after cards and trading them for heaps of cards.

Remember trading Peter sterling for the whole Bulldogs team. Lived in a parra loving suburb at the time.

I remember feeling ripped off when a pack of my cards didn't come with the stick of pink gum in it,

Sure do, the purple series (1987) was IIRC the last to do it, then it went to a mixture of profiles and lame one liners at the back.

I had plenty of Danny Buderus when they were in Tazos around 2006 or 2007.

I remember buying packets of chips, taking the tazo to school the next day and finding someone to sell it to for $2. I'd then use that $2 to buy another packet of chips and repeat the process. Kept this going for a while.
