The Maroons really need to try and secure that right edge. That passage on DCE's outside shoulder has become a popular target and Val has been exposed a few times at both rep and club level. Howarth is shaping up as a handy replacement here and hopefully he can continue his development. It'd be great as well if Selwyn can find another gear but the signs aren't looking promising.

Fifita was a strange omission this year and while his intensity and lackthereof has been a constant source of criticism he's still a game-winner. If both he and Nanai can tighten their games it'll go a long way to securing the Maroons success. There's a few exciting prospects coming through in Piakura, Finefeuaki, Shibasaki etc. but they all have areas of their game they need to fix up before they can be considered for a starting edge spot. I like Fermor, Gilbert and Arrow as potential back-ups.

I wonder if Billy will be tempted to look towards the future and give Plath a shot before Hunt? I guess it's up to Max but he wasn't far off playing this year and is a really solid replacement in his own right.

Do you guys have any potential bolters? Is Purdue training the house down? Could we see Clifford step up and deliver on the promise he showed in 2018?
