I had plenty of Danny Buderus when they were in Tazos around 2006 or 2007.

I remember buying packets of chips, taking the tazo to school the next day and findinding someone to sell it to for $2. I'd then use that $2 to buy another packet of chips and repeat the process. Kept this going for a while.

When Gasnier left to Union he had a press conference to announce it.

One of his main gripes was about maximizing player income (hence his decision to leave for Union, they were paying him a lot more), he listed amongst other things (he also had TPA's that were promised but didn't come through), the tazos that were being sold with players faces etc on, and complaining that they made little to no money from ventures like these.

I get the image rights etc point, but referencing tazo's was a pretty funny focal point to base your argument off.

Sure do, the purple series (1987) was IIRC the last to do it, then it went to a mixture of profiles and lame one liners at the back.

Nah it definitely continued on into the mid 90s. I had the raiders 94 premiership photo (on the back of cards) on my wall and loved it.
