Footy Show Last Night

I only caught 5 minutes of the footy show last night and JT was on talking about Souths and his role there ect.... now i aint a Souths fan, i like seeing them loose BUT i was gobsmacked when he said that EVERY single week he records a 10 minute video on the progress of the team and puts on the team website talking about what they are focusing on, what they need to improve, game plan for the following week, review of last weeks game, injuries ect because he beleives the fans are the backbone & have a right to know what their club is doing.

Massive respect to JT for that cause dam straight he is right, the fans deserve to know whats going on with their club. They owe it to us cause we are the ones that spend a lot of money (game tickets jerseys ect) on supporting these guys, the least they could do is keep us informed.. makes us feel like we are part of the club ect.

Anyone else agree with this or what ?

I watched his interview and you have to give him full marks. He admitted he could have done things differently, looked at himself, saw things not working and has changed it. I was watching it and comparing it to sheens and his ego in never admitting he's wrong and never changing things. How many more times do we try morris or mcdonnell before sheens says `they don't work'.

Thats what i thought, least he is giving an honest opinion of where his club is at presently. I mean i dont know what goes on out at Concord but i certainly dont feel that the club feels the panic like i do in our performances.

I just want some free flowing information to our club members thats all and JT help that happen at souths... respect.

eeewwww i had completely forgotten McDonnell was playing this week hahaha

You can bet neil henry and todd carney haven't forgotten ... expect an aerial blitz of WW2 proportions to his wing. Canberra's 6 pocket theory and a midget steady eddie comedy joker on the wing. Joel monaghan will be licking his chops for crossfield bombs

wow this is a full on day cause im gonna agree wioth you yet again hahahaha Mcdonnell is not a NRL standard player no if buts or otherwise. He is too small, too light and not enough of a footy brain. Other then bombing him when he actually does get the ball they will do what every team did last year, pick him up and run to 20m to the sideline and dump him out... poor little fella hahaha

I heard Monaghan might not play ?? Fingers crossed/

Im a big fan of Youngquest and im stumped McDonnell got picked before him... no matter how bad is NSWCUP form has been.

Youngquest is out of favour for going to a photo shoot when he should have been training ... and we all now that once you're in coach shines' bad books it is hard to get a look in again. Monaghan out ? He's garbage and dross ... nothing but an athlete but always crucifies us .. where you hearing this

Junior burger has had more than enough chances ... he isn't being scapegoated for 1 or 2 bad games he's being scapegoated for 20

Yeah I felt a whole lot better about our situation after that interview and I now have full confidence in JT.

If only Tom Shines had the same respect for Tigpies fans, but I suppose the Super Coach is above answering the fans' concerns.

Youngquest is in the middle ether really.

Not good enough for firsts IMHO but a little too good for State Cup

He seemed quite good when I watched Penrith last season. Of course, they were utter garbage but he bagged a few tries and kicked goals. He's not a superstar, but solid enough. Plenty of pace.

He wasn't great in the FC, I'll admit that. But at this stage I think he's a far better option than both Tagive and McDonnell. Cnce again though we've bought a player who will never play firsts because of one incident, stupid and a waste of money (even if it isn't much).

who cares about jason taylor. ill never forget his face in '96 at campbelltown when the mighty andrew willis kicked a field goal in the last minute from halfway to win the game for the magpies. ill never forget the crowd. 1 guy runs onto the field and the security starts chasing him. then a few more run on and security starts running after them, then everyone on the eastern hill pushes down the fence and runs onto the field and the security says bugger it hahaha

sh*t where was i. the footy show. did you see robbo fly?

Alien it was very apt that taylor went on, faced the music, held his hands up, admitted mistakes, informed his fans etc etc. Can you let me know the last time coach sheens did this.

What does JT do in another 4 or 5 weeks if there is still no results/improvements.
He could be painting himself into a corner.

I'll be honest, I don't think Souths are performing that bad really. They have always struggled in attack, and this year they pinned all their offence options on Craig Wing.
