the roosters odds for the spoon have shortened from $501 to $51, rumours on 2KY, could the chooks be about to crash for breaching the cap?

If the roosters get done for cap violations.. That is just music to my ears.. I've been saying it for a while now.. And i will pray to god that it's true.

Centrebet has them at $41 now for the Wooden Spoon - they haven't suspended betting

SportsTab did when they hit $51

... supposedly the roosters are having a media conference to straighten the whole thing out

someone mentioned in the thread in the NRL section that all it was, was someone put 100 dollars on them for the spoon.. But i fail to see how that 100 bucks could make the odds drop so far in a lot of betting companies and cause suspensions.

That was probably a Rooster's fan trying to cover it up.

You would think that if there was strong mail going to the betting agency's as to the Roosters rorting the cap that bad, that the Price of them would shorten to less than $51 :?

Maybe they are assuming that if they lose their current points that they still wouldn't come last by gaining back enough points to beat Manly or the Warriors.

The $100 bet was announced on radio this morning. Shouldn't make it drop that much. They don't hold as much as they do on Top 8 or Premiers, but still a fair bit

The price was suspended when it reached 51. If there is any truth in it, it will open much lower.

But I can't believe that a $ 100 bet would bring it in so quick, but it depends on the pool of money all ready held.

Well there was actually a 30,000 dollar bet on the roosters to win the spoon..

Why would anyone do that if they didnt know something. :?

So we only have the Roosters CEO assuring everyone that there is no salary cap scandal involving his team?

Well I'd believe his word any day.

Sounds like wishful thinking people. The fact is the Roosters are the best side and the Knights have to severely lift there game to match them. Lets not shoot them down because they have a better coach, and make better player purchases than we do.

Isn't it exactly what the initial response was from the dogs.

And the cynic in me says that any bad news is not going to be released before origin, not even by the NRL

Well we all remember how the Bulldogs Salary Cap Saga came out just appeared when auditers did their check and they had also breached it for the following year as well.

I dare say too that if the Roosters had their way there wouldn't be a salary cap.
