Force poor performers to step up

It's a bye week, we have several poor performing players.

Time to put a few out of form/poor performers into NSW Cup.

Get Matt Utai, Lote Tuqiri, Blake Ayshford, Chris Heighington and Adam Blair all playing for Wests Magpies this week in NSW Cup.

I can't see how this idea would be in anyway bad.

I Initially had a plan to have these guys play for the Magpies in NSW Cup and f**k all plans Wests Tigers may have had with Balmain and Magpies, as it would put pressure on the players to not just make the Magpies competitive, but to get them a win, which looks unlikely to be achieved this year by the current crop of players.

It would have shown that Wests Tigers does respect the Magpies, it would give the NRL guys practice and confidence (especially if they got a win) and its a week off.

Furthermore, if any of them were injured, then it's no real drama because some are playing so poorly they deserve to be dropped anyway.

But the Magpies have the bye this week which shat on that plan.

No NSW Cup this week. Complete comp Bye week to allow for NSW v Qld Residents.

Plus it would mean that they would be fixed into the Western Suburbs feeder structure for the entire year as the last game you play before June 30 is the team you play for in all remaining games at that level

I have no problem with that.

They probably would have only played one game anyways.

*just looked at the draw again and you are right, no NSW Cup this week, makes the thread null really now*

matt utai has been one of the better performers.

but with the bye week they really don't deserve a rest except for maybe woods and galloway who will burn out sooner rather than later

Several played for BRET a while back against Newtown, Ayshford Utai and some forwards I think.
Utai by all reports gives it everything no matter where he plays and who for, his professionalism outstanding.
You wouldnt see heighno or Lote in reggies tho

You don't see how this is bad?

Wests Tigers is doing its level best to kill the magpie brand forever. We need one brand
only, that is the Tigers. The magpies weren't even supposed to field a team, but they
did so out of sheer bloody mindedness. They could have finished up last year with
pride as they were supposed to. They chose not to.

The magpie isn't part of the future of Wests Tigers.

f**k off idiot.

This is a classic example of you not addressing the argument. The magpies are going
to be killed at nsw cup level in the next 24 hours. For all intents and purposes they
will be dead. If you had been following, there is a core of hardcore agitators wanting
to break the merger (from the magpies).

It is not an idiotic post.

MU - I guess the problem is that super coach doesn't think the young fellas are ready.

And whether they are or not - he's the boss.

I mean FFS - how many guys made there debut's this year?

We talk about the fractured nature of this club, but really, I honestly don't think that Sheens sees the lower grades as feeder clubs for first grade at all. And I cant imagine that will change whether there are one or two.

Anyone who has seen our juniors would realize there is some gold in there, but they really do have to go out and play for someone else to get recognised.

Having said all that - Im with you - drop the dogs, but who would you replace them with? But more importantly who would Sheensie replace them with?
