Now that Joel Clinton is on the outer at Brisbane,Why dont the EELS chase Clinton. He in the past has claimed he wanted to be an EEL before he made it big at the Panthers.

I think Latimore has shown good ability for a young forward and should be quite a bit better with the games under his belt from this season. He's a a fair chunk of a bloke and could probably grow some more yet. As for Clinton, too many mistakes in his game for my liking. I'd prefer to pay a little extra (if we can afford it) and get Poore.

Anyone remember Penrith's 2003 season? Anyone remember the reason behind their turn-around?

As far as I recall they were losing at halftime and Clinton spoke to his teammates and said he was sick of losing; that they should go out and do their best to spoil the party. Lo and behold they won that game, they went on a streak and won a title.

Not saying it's going to necessarily happen here, but I like that attitude.

Still think Trent Merrin should be approached.

But I think the Eels are a team that benefits from doers rather than speakers - Caylo and Hindy are leaders by quiet words, but I think someone like Clinton who'd fire them up verbally is what we need.

Still think Trent Merrin should be approached.

Fuifui Moimoi WAS a dud at Souths.
Jason Taylor WAS on his last legs at Norths and considered a dud.
Glenn Morrison WAS a good player but came to us after suffering a serious back injury and people doubted him.

Point is a change of team and a change of coaching staff is as good as a holiday - who's to say he won't recapture his form under a new coach?

For the record I like Clinton but I'm not too fussed either way.
