Well, you all know what they say about experts...

In the science world, 'X' is an unknown quantity, while colloquially 'EX' is a discarded or no-longer-useful item.

And, of course, we all know that a 'Spurt' is a drip of water under pressure.

So, therefore, an expert is nothing more than:

An unknown or useless drip under pressure.
