I really think we have the making of a good pack at the moment.

Ava, Sue, BMM, Sirro - all young players that look like guns. Add to that Woods, Galloway & even Blair on recent form.

I'm really impressed though with Ava, Sue, BMM and Sirro. Sirro might stay at 6 but all of them have great leg drive. There were a couple of times out there where these guys were unstoppable.

I dont agree we are quite average. Blair has come good of late and Galloway is always injured. Everyone else is a prospect.

Compare with Bunnies:
George Burgess, Isaac Luke, Sam Burgess, Mcqueen, Ben Teo, Ben Lowe, Asotasi, Lima. tyrrell, Thomas Burgess.

Compare with Roosters:
JWH, Friend, Moa, SBW, Cordner, Aubuson, FPN, Luke O'Donnell, Guerra

Compare with Dogs:
Kasiano, Ennis, Tolman, Tony Williams, Pritchard, Finnucane, Jackson, Klemmer, James Graham.

Compare with Sharks:
Fifita, Gallen, Lewis, Hino, Wade Graham, Bukuya, Gibbs, Tupou, Tagatese

We dont look that bad: Galloway, Farah, Woods + Blair, Fulton, Sue, Ava.
Siro is stll the best 5/8 without question.

Add a few promotes from the lower grades and we have the makings of a very good pack. BMM played very well which suggests he is learning under the new coach.

Considering the mammoth task they had against Manly's pack, i thought they all stood up & played pretty bloody well. Sue is coming along brilliantly.

Those packs above are quality especially Souths.

I think though with a front row rotation of Woods, Galloway, Ava & Blair or BMM we will get some real good go forward. Add Sue and Blair/BMM to lock playing up the middle and we will look good. Put it this way Woods wasn't really missed out there last night mainly because Blair, Ava and BMM really stood up. Galloway also just rolls it forward and rarely gets dominated.

The backrow is really where we struggle especially compared to players like SBW/Cordner but Fulton although small does a lot of work and his defence is great. Maybe Sirro will slot into the left side backrower or maybe Lawrence will or maybe there are some good prospects in the lower grades.

We lack a player like George Burgess or Fifita (Sheenious) but overall the pack is developing into one with plenty of impact. I'd love to see BMM turn into that wide running backrower but geez he looks good belting it up the middle.

Most forward packs look good on paper at full strength.

The top 4 sides have had a dream run with injuries and I think this is why they occupy the top spots.

TYGA, I just looked at the official team sites and for the most part was able to get the player weights, I don’t know how accurate they are, assume they are preferred playing weights but who knows, e.g. was looking at Manly and Watmough is listed at 94kg’s. Gee he uses the 94kg's well doesn't he:D.

Compare with Bunnies:
George Burgess (120), Isaac Luke, Sam Burgess (116), Mcqueen (102), Ben Teo (106), Ben Lowe (101), Asotasi (108), Lima (106) Tyrrell (102), Thomas Burgess (120). + Clark (103)

Compare with Roosters:
JWH (108), Friend, Moa (105), SBW (108), Cordner (102), Aubusson (98), FPN (114), Luke O'Donnell (102), Guerra (104) + Kennedy (122)

Compare with Dogs:
Kasiano (122), Ennis, Tolman (103), Tony Williams, Pritchard (112), Finnucane (106), Jackson (98), Klemmer (120), James Graham (106). + Eastwood (112)

Compare with Sharks:
Fifita (116), Gallen (104), Lewis (105), Hino, Wade Graham (93), Bukuya (90), Gibbs (106), Tupou (100), Tagatese (110) + Ross (110), Taufua (105)

Now compare the Tigers weights, we have plenty of guys with size, I think they important thing though is how the players and coach best use the players height and size.

Looking at the pack last night and the guys ‘we experts’ want to see next year, we could put the following starting 6 and 3 reserves in a Tigers shirt next year.

Starting 6
Galloway 112kg
Farah
Woods 109kg
Seumanufagai 110kg
Fulton 94kg
Sue 98kg

Bench,
Blair 106kg
BMM 110kg
Buchanan 107kg

Others:
Taupau 105kg
Halatau 94kg
Bell 108kg
Thompson 103kg
Lovett 100kg
Gavet ?

gotta say I've been impressed with sauaso sue .his outstanding work rate for a young bloke is fantastic . my highlight of the season .
frankly it's time to just release marshall and start playing what potter believes is next years halfs combination.

I was fairly impressed with the forwards as well, other than two stupid play-the-ball fumbles, they were able to mostly hold the Manly pack and were able to get a roll-on themselves at times. Galloway, Blair, Ava and BMM all had strong games at prop. Fulton and Sue worked their arses off. I didn't see much of Siro but he did have a couple of good carries at what looked to be left second row.

We are just shy one big impact second rower. Blair or BMM might be able to play that role but both have looked way better in the middle. Halatau might be an ok depth signing but will not fill that role. We need a second rower with impact and a big engine.

Need more offloads. Then maybe we can create some more space.
Can't recall one forward offloading against Manly.

Teddy seems to have stopped backing up through the guts of late.

From the outside looking in it seems Potter is trying to improve him as a play making option as the sweeping back.

Many things seem to be geared for 2014

...... Marty Tapau is likely to be that forward you long for. Impact, mongrel, intent and determination. Big and rangy too.
Expect good things from him.
