Good. If Australia want a Four Nations Fiji would make a fine replacement. Hope Tonga go to England and play France and Wales as well..

England will 'more than likely' face Tonga in a three-Test series this autumn, with the Rugby Football League in advanced talks to bring Kristian Woolf's side to England later this year.

Despite reports in Australia that Tonga are being lined up to play in a Four Nations tournament, the RFL remain confident they have all-but confirmed a test series on this side of the world against high-calibre opposition at the end of the current domestic campaign. Rugby League Live understands that the finer details of a series are being finalised, with an announcement in the coming weeks.

That's awesome for England. But I hope they do a Samoa vs Tonga match before Tonga travels to England

Is that supposed to be a insult? 😂😂😂😂 Heritage or not they're samoan at the end of the day. Unlike Kangaroos who had Sivo and England when they played Maurie Faasavalu 🤷‍♂️
No? If you're offended, I apologise I guess.

Not sure what your point is with the rest of your comment.

If there's international tests the end of the year I can see Payne Haas playing for samoa. Holy what a game from him tonight

5 Brian To'o
6 Josh Schuster
7 Jarome Luai
8 Payne Haas
9 Danny Levi
10 Junior Paulo
11 Isiah Papali'i
12 Jayd'n Sua
13 Tino Fa'asuamaleaui

Some players may choose Kiwis but after samoas performance at the world cup we might see a few turn the Kiwis jersey down

Hey stop trying to steal all our players, you need to concentrate on Australian Samoans. Although it's good that Samoa's resurgence has meant more heritage players have actually been to Samoa now. ;)

Moses Leota and Mulitalo only played for the Kiwis because they couldn't qualify for origin 😂😂😂😂 on a serious note tho I hope they stick with the Kiwi. Samoa are stacked in the front rows and wings and Kiwis needed them more, but in saying that Samoa wouldn't mind taking Dylan Brown 😁

But, if they could have played Origin and the Kiwis they probably would have done so too - same with former Junior Kiwi captains Papali'i and Luai (who'll play for any team that shows interest ;) )

If Brown went he'd be the one I'd be pissed off about, but I think he's Northland hardcore so can't see it happening.

Erin Clark might switch this year (as he's not locked into NZ I think as it's not a WC year) which will help your hooking depth.

Erin Clark is solid but I don't see him making it over Danny Levi or Tevaga. But if Levi gets picked for the Kiwis I reckon he'll turn Samoa down to be in the Kiwis squad. You might be right about Luai and Papali'i, but the tides turned now, because Samoa and Tonga aren't the "backup" teams like they used to be when the players didn't make the top 2 teams.

I hope they plan more tests the end of the year

I think Clark was picked for the Kiwis over Levi. Jazz isn't really a hooker anymore, but could fill in for Samoa at a pinch.

I'm not sure if the tide has fully turned, Tonga has gone backwards since 2017 and it will be interesting to see if they can keep up the momentum once Taumalolo and the bigger names are retired. Samoa seems to have sucked up the Aussie Samoans but not really dented the NZ ones (probably due to the Origin eligibility). I wonder if RTS would switch if he returned to league? Unlike most of the Samoan team he was actually born there.

But, I hope they play more tests every year and things are kept competitive.

I'd quite like free movement between the Cooks and NZ (our own Origin rule) so if there's no Kiwi games on the Cooks can get stacked. :D

The NZRL officials need to get in the ear of Kalyn Ponga and make a serious play for him.

Guy is never going to get the kangaroos fullback gig and he’s too good of a player to be sitting out international RL.

He'd have to give up Origin, and sadly Origin is the king down here. Also, I think he was pretty likely to make the Kangaroos squad pre-injury last year.

If they gave NZ the island players Origin eligibility then I think he'd switch.

Tonga have been unlucky. There rise happened during covid. If they schedule a Tonga vs Samoa game every year and more test matches I see the Tonga rising even more. Especially with the huge fan base that they have.

Haven’t rule changes been floated or was that just for the pacific island teams?
