That is one of the better ideas I have heard in my time. The Wales/ireland/Scotland option for the AUs v NZ game is one worth exploring. Realistically the crowd would be just as big as playing it in london at a smaller championship football club side ground, with the added benefit of generating/building on league interest.
If you have it in scotland you capitalise on the Murrayfield Magic event this year, in Wales the Crusaders inaugural superleague season, and in Ireland, the recent succes of the irish national team.
My option would be to go for Wales, only slightly ahead of Scotland.
Perhaps though if the scots watch true really classy sides in the Aussies and Kiwis going at it they might wake up to the true version of rugby...
Maybe in Hong Kong :sarcasm:
Seriously thought I would like to see AUS V NZ in a "promotional" area. I suggested this a while back on another forum and it was mostly rubbished.
You would think it would have to be Wales, maybe Scotland or Ireland. A long shoit may be Russia, they got 25,000 to a game a few years ago why not? Spain, USA?
Options:
Millenium Stadium, Cardiff, Wales - 75,000
St David's Stadium, Cardiff, Wales - 30,000
Murrayfield, Edingburgh, Scotland - 67,500
Celtic Park, Glasgow, Scotland - 60,500
Lansdowne Road, Dublin, Ireland - 36,000
Olympic Stadium, Barcelona, Spain - 56,000
Lokomotiv Stadium, Moscow, Russia - 31,000
Municipal Stadium, Jacksonville, USA - 77,000
OK so those are the only possibilities I can think of and many of them are hardly worth a mention. I would go with one of the Cardiff options.
