This post is intended to highlight the 100s of mistakes the JV has made since its inception, i will start, i am sure i will forget plenty so just keeping adding!
1. Stealing the logo from the Florida Panthers
2. Putting magpies on the sleeves but no real tiger
3. Hiring Terry Lamb
4. Hiring Cement
5. Hiring Langmack
6. Sacking Junior & Blocker
7. Calling the JV Wests
8. Signing Lee Murphy
9. Playing Parramatta away from Leichhardt
10. Letting Tex go
11. Signing Ben Jefferies
12. Not giving Robbo a chance in first grade
13. Appoint Steve Noyce as CEO
14. Sacking Craig Field but keeping McGuinness
15. HOPPA
16. Keeping Joel Caine after the 2001 Leichhardt game against St George where Blacklock scored one of the best tries i have ever seen... and all Joel needed to do was to take him out!
17. Not doing any promotion work in the Leichhardt area.
18. Blaming Demographics
19. Signing players like Sam Obst whilst letting Juniors go (i know this is more Balmain & Western Suburbs)
20. Accepting Radisson Maines offer as a sponsor
21. New Loan? Are they in liquidation by now?
22. Having Dawn Fraser on the board? Just because she could swim doesn't make her a great football director!

2. Putting magpies on the sleeves but no real tiger

Can you put a real tiger on a jersey?

6. Sacking Junior & Blocker

Yeah, we were killing them back then.

7. Calling the JV Wests

Balmain Magpies? That has a ring to it but so does my bath.

14. Sacking Craig Field but keeping McGuinness

Yes, we were sorry to see the back of Craig Field, he was chased by everyone. Didn't he end up at Newtown?

15. HOPPA

Hoppa killed it for Manly this year, if he hadn't gone berserk with passion he'd have been killing it for us.

16. Keeping Joel Caine after the 2001 Leichhardt game against St George where Blacklock scored one of the best tries i have ever seen... and all Joel needed to do was to take him out!

Did you wave goodbye? I did.

17. Not doing any promotion work in the Leichhardt area.

Not enough advertising on the Latte cups?

18. Blaming Demographics

Graphical Demonstrations have nothing to do with it.

19. Signing players like Sam Obst whilst letting Juniors go (i know this is more Balmain & Western Suburbs)

It's been happening at Wests for years.

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander Budha should have been shown the door as well

Also if Field wanted to recieve his payout from the West Tigers then he couldn't have played for an NRL club this season

How did Budha go this season? He had a long list of clubs after his signature didn't he

But he did becuase the Wests Tigers sacked Junior, and they replaced his coaching staff with some half witts who thought it was funny

Not trying to call you out here mate, but I didnt think that a club could chase a player under contract who hasn't been released. So I'm guessing he had as many as Andrew Johns did.

So we should have kept Junior at the helm? If we had kept him there, we'd have never been in the position we are now. The JV has learnt hard lessons, maybe 2004/2005 is where those lessons will pay off.

"Whats good for the goose is good for the gander Budha should have been shown the door as well  "

There were well publicised difference in the two cases. Buddha actually did something about it, about all Field did was cry, then king hit some poor schmuck at Balmain Leagues, on camera. I think that proves the level of intelligence of the bloke.

"How did Budha go this season? He had a long list of clubs after his signature didn't he "

He didn't have a banner year but however it was, it was better than Craig Field's year.

"But he did becuase the Wests Tigers sacked Junior, and they replaced his coaching staff with some half witts who thought it was funny  "

They weren't the only ones.

So what your saying is that because Junior was sacked and we appointed Lamb to take over that because of the disasters that took place because of this change that the Wests Tigers would be better off?

Maybe that could explain the long list of compaines and big name players who want to be a part of the Wests Tigers

Lets see now Field couldn't play for an NRL club because of his legal problem with the Wests Tigers. Before he joined Newtown during the PL season he did play in the French League in which he did get paid a hell of alot. Then he decided to join Newtown which of course was not represented in the NRL (except for feeder rights to both Souths and the Bulldogs). Name any player that would have set the world on fire at Newtown????????

Thats right the players that happened to be around him at the time, some of which had been added to the great playing roster by Lamb and Langmack happened to encourage the doings of the great Hoppa!

Where did I mention Terry Lamb? I thought it was a shocking decision to appoint him as coach. Two Tommys in one life time is two too many. When you have a coaching staff where Paul Langmack is considered the brains of the outfit, you're in deep strife.

You missed the whole gist of the paragraph.

Point A : Crap, unsuccessful team.

Point B: Successful team.

How we get there is not as important as getting there. Junior wasn't up to it, neither was any coach since, until now. Lessons have been learnt and action has been taken in the right direction, finally. I applauded Tim Sheens' appointment at the time and I and others believe that 2004 is the start of the better times.

Craig Field wouldn't get a start in the NRL, period. Except probably at Manly. He's not good enough and he carries baggage. Newtown is a good fit.

Sorry for the delay in the reply, i have been busy making cash as opposed to your occupation of sitting on the couch watching Oprah. It must be hard to have nothing to be proud of therefore throw all of your energy into the JV, but some people are just mugs........ humiliated? not in your life

sorry tugger, ive been busy watchin oprah(the she slept with my neighbour edition)anyway when you talk about wasting energy on a j.v. i would rather get involved in something that has 50% of my old club. hence the name wests and the magpies on the sleeve than 100% of f**k all.so why not follow the venture.you are just living in a time warp. p.s...lets face it tugger your club was going no place and neither was mine. p.s.s....bet if they make the semi's next year, you will be the first one with tickets.

When was Junior the coach of Wests?

The fall was painful and not overly graceful. To think that we had a competitive team and coach only to find out we didn't wasn't a lot of fun....

Agreed. Handled badly. The worst thing about it was the lack of disgust from the insertees. I think most people would come up swinging under those circumstances.

hey tugger, just like a mentioned on the wests tigers site some of you are livin in a time warp.lets face it wests maggies have a club at ashfield that turns over millions and a club out west that we spent millions on the other thing is we have an average age out west of 27.unlike the inner west of 127.so when your leagues club goes belly up due to the half a dozen drunks that they only get on bingo nights.dont take it out on wests magpies.after all tugger your club is within walkin distance to star city, what you expect brudda!!!! we will have the sole licencing rights and then it will be wests magpies 1/1000 on.
