Well well well, did anyone see the highlights of the England A v Australia game on the news tonight?

I watched the channel 10 highlights and noticed English commentators calling the game and guess what was up in the right hand corner?

Yep, that nice little gold Fox sports logo. So the bastards had the game at their disposal and didn't bother to show it. This morning there was American beach volleyball on ESPN, soccer and a bloody Georgia v Rwanda or whovever yawnion replay.

Why do league people always miss out? I mean league is the number one subscriber puller for the network, yet it always get's shafted.

This was our national rugby league team, playing a decent opposition in front of a passionate crowd - and we see nothing.

Emails of disgust should be sent out to the relevant organisations.

No France game, no England A game - YOU'RE A JOKE FOX!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw that and I've been checking the TV guide on their site the last few days in hope of a showing, but nothing. I would've loved to see that game even if it was delayed until tomorrow but checking their online guide again tonight it's not scheduled to be shown.

Good spotting. This is a disgrace. I really wanted to watch the match, god knows how many other games they have the ability to show. I'm sure they can find a hole in their otherwise poor tv line up for some class rugby league. The fans deserve it, we have to beg at every opportunity.

I posted about this a few days back.

Their commitment to Rugby League outside of the NRL is pathetic. I hope their lack of coverage of this years Kangaroo Tour and the piss poor effort with the ESL grand final isn't a sign of things to come.

I've contacted their marketing department a number of times relating to Rugby League coverage and the best I get is one sentence responses that don't address the issue.

It really pisses you off to see game highlights on the news with the Fox Sports logo but the bloody thing isn't on. It's kinda like false advertising in a way.

Remember the days when free-to-air would cover all the lead-up Kangaroo games against the likes of Oldham, St Helens, Wigan, Leeds and the like? Well those days are long gone. Now we can't even get Pay TV to cover these games.

Can someone suggest a few good people (and accurate email addresses) to complain to?

I know its not regarding Fox, but I was in Brisbane recently and was shocked at the crap being printed by Mike Colman in the Courier mail and sunday mail. That man is a disgrace, I sent him an email and then he used my letter in his next column! however of course, John Laws style he twisted it and avoided my main points.

i used to feel sorry for treizistes in France and England having to put up with one sided (or none at all) media coverage... isnt it a sign of the times that in Australia we are now complaining about the same thing???

Don't get me started on Colman. He is a union old boy from way back and fails to hide it. He almost constantly bags league while hyping union to the max. What's worse than the hypocracy in his writing is the errors.

Here's one to add to my media cock-ups file:

Colma wrote an article a few years ago in which he said that Cliffy Lyons captained the Aboriginal team in the SUper League World Nines. The problems with this are:

1 Cliffy Lyons was an ARL player and never played in any SL comp/tourny.
And
2 There was never an Aboriginal team in the SL 9s in 1996 or 97.

This is from the guy who wrote the 'Super League: the inside story' book. He doesn't even know sh!t about SL or its tournaments or players, yet he managed to write an arse licking book in favour of Rupert's actions in the 90s. By the way the bok was not only a biased grovel to Murdoch, but it also contained a whole lot of unrelated union crap, typical of a guy who can't talk about league without mentioning union and how wonderful it is.

He and that wanker Fitzsimons would make a perfect couple.

I got a reply from Fox saying they didn't have the rights to the game but the News mob paid for the highlights package or something so they could show it in their news. If the FTA channels want to show it they had to put their Fox Sports logo there or pay for it themselves. Something like that anyways.
