FOXTEL, give us a RUGBY channel

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Foxtel could get their arses into gear and provide us with a rugby channel (combined with rugby league, i don't care).

I'm also really peeved that they even have an AFL channel for every state and they can't even put up a TV guide channel for every state (seeing as all the time zones make it impossible for all but Sydney and Melbourne to see when programs are on).

I'm on holidays at the moment and there is no rugby at all to watch, now that is annoying! :x

No Foxtel should provide a channel solely for the most popular sport on cable tv, rugby LEAGUE. Screw union. RL deserves its own channel.

He means we already have one. On Sky TV. It was a big gamble but aparently has had a huge subscription.

There is still a large UHF subscription base. There is no way they will remove Super 12, NPC, Tests from sky sports until the remove UHF something they said would be at least ten years away.

i wish optus and foxtel never merged because before, i had optus and there was a 2 sports channels of all sport and they had a seperate channel of all rugby league except for when league was on nine. and when they merged the channel went :evil: ...I WANT A LEAGUE CHANNEL

THey wouldnt put them as one!!! Cause and you cant deny it more then 80% of the people would subscribe for the League and wouldnt wanna watch Syd Uni V Gordon!!! I mean the under 18's in the Canterbury junior district for League is of higher quality!!!

No way you'd get a combined channel because League and Union would bitch non-stop about who got the coverage. I'd personally love it though.

A combined channel would be the only way to go. Foxtel executives wouldn't dare split them up because most fans follow both codes.

Besides it would depend on what they are offering. I personally would love to see the 6Ns, ZP, CL, French Championship, and all the 7s tournaments as well as more international matches. Then that would interest me a lot in a proposed channel.

Anyway, isn't Fox Footy going to be part of the standard Foxtel package this year?

showing nrl, super league, usa pro comp, french rl and internationals

A rugby league channel would rule the world. Id be tuned in 24/7. Also show the super league show and footy show and boots n all and replays of classic games. :mrgreen:
